Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Macros with expired signature.

When I go to open a Word document I receive "The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open. Click OK, and then close dialog boxes to continue? THEN "This file contains Macros with expired or revoked signature. Since you are running under high security level, these micros will be disabled.
It requires three additional clicks before I can get a Word document open.
How do I correct this?

Go to tools->options->security
click on "macro security" button
change security level to "medium" or "low".

be aware that low security on macros means viruses can attack your computer through word documents. don't leave it on that setting for too long.

I have no sound

Check if the volume is not muted. Then, check in the Device Manager, if there is any exclamation mark visible under "sound, video and game controllers" category.

If there is any exclamation mark then right click on the device and uninstall it and restart the Computer then reinstall the audio driver after downloading from the manufacturer support site.

Furthermore, you may also try performing System Restore to restore the Computer to the time when sound was working normally.

Press the Windows logo key+R to open the Run dialog box then type devmgmt.msc and click OK to open the Device manager window.
