Http:// But this is a transistor NPN and a small one at that for only $1.39. A FET costs about $35.00. 9322 121 46687 is the power FET for that set. Location #7301 Description STW13NB60. IS one place, or Google your part# and see what comes up. Hope you find what you need. Good-Luck. Let me know if you need something else.

My zenith r57w46 hdtv will not power up. i open the back and discover that one of the cap was burned. i could not get the size because of how bad it was burned. any suggestion

just make sure that the capacitor that you replaced has the same voltage rating and capacity. if still is just a clicking, you must check the regulator and FET transistor in the power supply board if get busted.

Philips mod. # 60PP920217F

Hello bradahman,

The chirping sound is either a shorted Horizontal Output Transistor / Power FET (whichever one is used in this case) or the IHVT (Flyback Transformer) has developed a short in its windings. In ether case both components will have to be replaced. I would suggest you have a qualified TV technician come over and troubleshoot the problem and give you an estimate on the repair.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Sony TV KV-XR29M31 with supply blow-up. Fet Q608 and Q607 short circuit taking horizontal output Q and R642 .1 ohm. Is it caused by dried-out caps and does it take IC 602? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Replace the FETs with ones from Sony distributor. Do not substitute. Replace all of the small blue disc caps in the area. These can short causing the power supply to fry. In your case, the HOT probably was the initial problem, not the supply.

Power supply regulator for rca 52" home theatre twin tuner pip

no parts from a pioneer wont work. There are roughly 4 regulators for the power supply maybe 5. The sad thing is they cost between 7 and 20.00 , he didnt happen to mention which power supply was affected did he? You would have to check the various regulators out of circuit to determine which one is bad. If its a F.E.T they are hard to check without the proper equipment.

TV problem

Over Current Protection
Pin 1 of IC951 is also the Over Current Protect input.
The internal FET.s ground return is at pin 2 of
the IC. The voltage drop across R955 and R956
indicates the FET.s current, and is coupled through
R953 to pin 1 of the IC. The Over Current Protect
circuit is activated if the voltage at pin 1 of the IC
exceeds 1.35 volts.
Stabilization and rough regulation are provided by
feedback from pin 3 of T951 to pin 1 of the IC. Fine
regulation feedback is from a secondary supply,
through the Photo Coupler, PC951, to pin 1 of IC951.
Its possible that Diode D953 is leaky allowing the voltage to rise on pin 1 of the IC

Hello cordovan,

It sounds like you may have a Power supply problem since the set will not turn on at all and the only power present is form monitoring functions which use a separate power supply any way. Now to trouble shoot this problem you will need these basic tools:

a Multimeter (to measure DC and AC voltages)
a Schematic Diagram (To locate Test Points and voltages levels)
This should cover what is needed.

First unplug the TV and check the fuses using the ohmmeter setting on the multimeter. Then locate the power supply section which feeds from the main power rectifier plug the set in and turn it on, measure the DC voltage off of the bridge rectifier. Then locate the voltages from the various regulators to determine if these are active. if not check the FET used to activate the switching transformer, as with the other instructions measure the voltages and determine if the FET is being switched on and off by the driver oscillator. If this is not occurring then it can be assumed that a power supply problem might be an issue. I would then unplug the set attempt to take resistance measurements to make sure that there were no low resistance events (shorts) on the various stages of the TV.

This should reveal if the power supply board is bad, if it is take the board find out its part number and order it, I would not attempt to effect repairs on the circuit because more damage might be inflected on the TV set by doing so.

Now if this is something you rather not do, I would then suggest that you take the TV to the shop for repairs.

I hope this helps,
Thank you,
