Question about Sony KV-36FS100 36" TV
My TV video will blink at the rate of about 4-5 per minute whenever something is plugged into it. I have a Playstation 2, DVD player and 2 different models of satellite receivers (RCA). The only time the video stops blinking is if there is nothing plugged in and the TV is on one of the 4 video modes or on regular TV mode (static). Changing some of the settings in the menu doesn't help either. I changed the video mode from vivid to high and the it just blinked faster (about once every 5 seconds). Is there an easy way to fix this? Do I need to have a tech fix this and if so, about how much will it cost me? Thanks a bunch for any help.
Sounds like you have 1999/2000 model Sony with a CRT that is showing its age. This would be a tech fix but, most likely not worth the repair cost. It probably flashes slower when the set is cold and gets more rapid when it warms up.
