When we moved our frigidaire FRS26ZRFW3 into our new house the ice maker quit.I have been tinkering with it and took the front cover off and turned the plastic gear just a little by hand and it went through its cycle and filled with water. But 6 hours later no ice.So i did the same thing again and it started going through its cycle but before it dumped the ice it bound up.I took a hair dryer and blew on the bottum of the ice tray for a second and it released and spit the ice out.And filled back up.But i am betting its going to do the same thing. What could the problem be? Thanks,Tom

Hi friend, thanks for your post!
I understand that your icemaker on your Frigidaire refrigerator is not getting water to the icemaker. It sounds like you could have an issue within the valve or solenoid. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose your appliance and repair it. -Matt
If your evaporator is not completely frosting over (top to bottom) this normally means the unit doesn't have a proper charge or the compressor can't pump all the freon as it needs to. I would check the charge, this should read "0", if less not enough, if higher than the compressor is failing. I hope this helps.
The ice maker timer is replaceable. Only a couple of screws hold the ice maker in the freezer, take it out and see if you can remove the timer for replacement. If you like to tinker, take it apart to see the pitiful connections, maybe you can fix it.
I had the same problem with my ice maker. I took it apart and cleaned the three switches inside the icemaker The switches are not a high enough amp rating so they burn the contacts. Keep in mine cleaning is temp fix. I did mine about 4 months ago and still working. I have new switches now that I will be installing as soon as it quits again. About $9.00 for new switches and about $130.00 for a new Icemaker!
Ice maker was installed properly, when you put the arm down it doesn't call for water to fill unit. It doesn't make any kind of noises at all. The water is turned on and all plugs are in there are no kinks in the line but when the arm is truned down for it to call for water nothing happens
The is for a frigidaire refrigerator.Ice maker is all new..
Behind the ice bucket is a metal housing that holds the auger motor and solenoid. The solenoid is bad. When you go for cubed ice that solenoid should pull up the metal rod on the ice bucket so full cubes will come out. First check to make sure the metal rod on the ice bucket isn't somehow caught under the solenoid and not letting if move up and down. You can take out the ice bucket and press for cubed ice. You should hear a loud clunk noise. If not then you know the solenoid is not working.
If you have a cold enough temp in the icemaker a heater should then kick in to warm the plate and a motor then turns and drives the ice out. The ice maker modules can be repaired, but the checks need to be carried out by fridge guys. Alternatively you can replace the whole module but this can vary in cost quite dramatically. Hope this has been of some help.
