Re: My T.V. has no color red

If your TV is the type that has a picture tube, the picture tube itself could have gone bad. Also one of the picture tube driver circuits may have messed up. A number of things can cause this to happen. You'd need to take it to a shop and get an estimate for repairs. Hopefully you can find a shop that will give you a free estimate. Stargazer

How to fix my sharp 27rs50 tv color its showing green

Loose solder terminal/s at its video output circuit. This circuit can be located at the car, attached to the back of the CRT.

Green & red tint

Most likely nothing you can do to fix this. CRT TVs use 3 colors to make an image on the screen (Red, Green, and Blue). If you're only seeing red and green then chances are the blue has stopped working. You can replace certain parts in the TV but for a 27" TV you'll probably end up paying more for the repair than a new TV.

I don't recommend taking the cover off and trying to fix TV yourself without training. CRTs have a lot of electricity stored in them (even after turned off) and you could accidentally electrocute yourself.

Cannot fix color without remote

Here's a link to order the original JVC remote controller for this model (AV-20220) from a major parts distributor if you need the remote to fix the colors on your unit:

After a few minutes the color goes to intense red and green

My tv didn't turn green, but the red separated significantly. It started off happening after a few minutes of being on (I suppose the defective part was "warming up"), then it got to where it was like that immediately upon turning the tv on. In my case, I had to pay a tv repair man $350 for a new part. There are 2 microcircuits that control the color alignment--one that controls the red only, and the other controlls the other 2 colors, blue and green I believe. Maybe your part is the blue/green controller, mine was red. The repair man said these parts fail so rarely they don't stock the part. The cost of repair may be different for a different part, but either way you have to choose if it's worth that cost to you. If you get rid of it, I'll buy your tv stand ;-), I bought mine from a friend and didn't get the stand in the deal.

No Picture or Sound

I dont think it's worth getting a repair man to come fix a Symphonic TV... honestly, they are problem prone... and It would cost much less to just buy a whole new one. I have a symphonic tv with no remote, and now, I cant switch into game mode! It's like they designed their tv's to be crappy!

Color sudden change

Good day.
Your unit is still worth. It may be a caused of loose contacts along the circuitry. It can be remedied by resoldering the terminals particularly the chroma section and the crt circuit.

Sony KV-32v25 low brightness and little color

It's more than likely the tube, my friend. The chances of it being a power regulation problem is kind of remote at this stage of the game....accordianman

I think it is a degaussing problem which is due to magneic effect. if you can 1 check any magnetic thing is mot close to tv. 2do not change the direction of tv while watching. 3call tech to degauss it by a coil called degaussing coil. good luck.

Red "not available" message on screen

The reason the TV doesn't respond to the remote is that the set is busy trying to change channels (or scroll through menu options.) because one of the channel-- up/down "button" is stuck on the front panel of the TV. They are very delicate, and respond to the slightest input. (You should see the CH light on the front of the set.)

So, I had the same problem, and just finished following the advice for fixing this problem by using a hair dryer and pen knife to remove the strip covering the "buttons."

I have to admit that I was afraid of what damage I might do in removing the little strip from the face of the TV, but I only paid $114 for the set at Salvation Army, and it's otherwise a great set, so I had little to lose.

Trust me, you can't hurt anything by removing the little panel. Just take your time, and let the heat do the work, lest you crease the strip. (It took about five minutes for me to get it off.)

I chose to disable the front-panel controls altogether by simply removing the little pads that activate the switches.

The pads look like tiny little rubber bands, about 3/8" across, and will stick to the double-sided adhesive when you remove the strip. (Don't worry, they are not attached to the set, and you won't be destroying anything in this process.)

I suppose you could always get replacement rubber thingies, but I'd just as soon use the remote, and avoid future hassles.
