Question about GE Profile Harmony DPGT750EC Electric Dryer
When I try to run a cycle on my dryer, it makes a weird noise like it is trying to get going but nothing happens. It does not spin and I can not move it manually. You can punch in the time and everything, but once you hit start, it just makes a noise like it is winding up, but nothing happens.
I opened the dryer panel and saw that one of the two belts that stabilize the drum had come off. It is a soft, sticky, rubbery substance and part of it and balled up so it was wedged between the drum and the dryer wall. I cut that portion off and it runs fine now.
