I was just watching a movie on my XR-11XC Sharp Projector when it powered down without warnings or indicator lights. The bulb still had about 60% life last time I checked. Now I can't get it to come alive. No lights, no noises, nothing. Is there a reset or?????? Help

I experienced the same behavior while using my projector last night. It turned off while I was watching, tried plugging into different outlet, no power indicators, etc. Extremely bummed about this. I figure either there's a fuse or the power supply is blown. Looking for a service manual.

After an unexpected shutdown during a movie, the unit does not power up. I changed the bulb, but it still does not turn on. No indicator lights are lit, no fans running. It is completly dead.

Remove the six screws from the bottom and 2 screws in the back that hold on the top cover. Once you have the top cover removed you will see a small round red button on the front of the unit. Press this button in; it should not pop back out. Put cover back on and plug it in.

My xg-e650ub also shut down while in use, and won't power up.

Reset the lamp timer.
1,Connect the power cord.
2,While simultaneously holding down "menu","enter" and "down" on the projector, press "standby/On" on the projector and keep all four buttons pressed down until the lamp indicator starts blinking green.
"LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.

EIKI XB23 PROJECTOR WON'T GO ON

Do you hear the fan start up? or does the projector lamp come on (you start to see an image)?

If yes to either:

When the temperature inside the projector reaches a
certain level, the projector will be automatically shut down
to protect the inside of the projector. The POWER indicator
is blinking while the projector is being cooled down. When
the projector has cooled down sufficiently (to its normal
operating temperature), it can be turned on again by
pressing the POWER ON-OFF button.

Note:
After the temperature inside the projector returns to normal, the
WARNING indicator still continues to blink. When the projector is
turned on again, the WARNING indicator stops blinking.

Then check the matters below:
– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to be
ventilated? Check the installing condition to see if
ventilation slots are not blocked.
– Is the projector not installed near the ventilation duct of
air-conditioning equipment which may be hot? Install the
projector away from the ventilation duct of airconditioning
equipment.
– Are the air filters clean? Clean the air filters periodically. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

If no to either:

When the projector detects an abnormal condition, it is
automatically shut down to protect the inside and the
WARNING indicator will be red. In this case, disconnect the
AC power cord and reconnect it, and then turn the projector
on once again for check. If the projector cannot be turned
on and the WARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect
the AC power cord and contact the service station for check
and repair.

Please let me know if this helped solve the problem. If not, is there anything else you observed - whether or not you believe it's relevant.

The clean your filter warning sign comes up and then shuts the projector down in 1 min. I have changed the lamp and filter. How do i reset the timer for the Lamp Hours and get rid of the warning?

Once the filter is replaced, plug the projector back in and make sure the projector is in standby mode.  Point the remote control at the projector and press the following buttons in order in less than 3 seconds: reset, ←, →, enter.  This worked for me.  Good luck.

NEC LT240 has Power, Status & Lamp indicators lit & wont turn on!

If your bulb finally reaches it's end before you have the chance to replace it you unit will shut itself down and go into a permanent standby mode. Changing the bulb alone will not remedy the issue. The solution is quite simple but not posted in the manual or anywhere else that I could find for that matter! All that is required is to hold down the HELP button on your remote for 10 seconds while aiming at the infrared sensor on the unit. This will reset the units bulb timer and remove it from the standby mode.

No power indications

Greetings,

Fuse problem or power supply.
If it's the lamp, you'll still get a standby light.
Check also the ventilation, that might caused it to shutdown.

Infocus IN72 Projector. NO POWER OR NOT POWERING UP

This model projector is very sensitive to internal heat. I f by some reason the projector was abruptly powered down without the use of its normal procedure, in other words, unpluging cord from wall while on or power outage in premises, then the heat remains trapped and the sensors overheat and subsequently shuts down the unit. Now, although, once the sensors cool down it should reinstate operation some sensors become permanently damaged due to the extreme heat. In this case without having more facts, i believe it is the cause. I recommend a free check up to your nearest shop, most shops will offer free check ups.
