Power drain would be a better solution in this case.1.first shut down the comp2.unplug the charger3. remove the batteryand after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery.After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer.
try to login to the safemode with networking and check it is working or not.
go to bios and do the hard drive test.
if it is passed then do the recovery of the computer

I suggest you return it if it is still under warranty for repair.
It appears that one or more of the operating systems files has been corrupted and needs to be repaired/replaced.
You can try to do a systems repair with the Windows CD and if this doesn't work you will have to reinstall the Windows. Make sure you have the recovery Cd because it contains the drivers for the devices installed on your model laptop.
