start -> run and type msconfig
in the window move to the services tab.
uncheck both of the following:
Software Licensing Service and SL UI Notification Service
This will keep the activation from running and the second stops windows from continually reminding you that this has happened.
Your product is unregistered, but will continue to run.

In Case You Didn't Find The Right Product Key Contact The Manufacturer Of The Laptop They Will Provide You The Generic Key For Windows .. Otherwise Visit WWW.ASTALAVISTA.COM> underground search > go to serials.ws > type the windows vista product key and u'll get what u need.. dONT USE IT FOR LONG Using these keys is a solutions but not legal so make sure u get the original product key as soon as possible..........

If you have a legitimate copy of Vista, the product key is located on a sticker attached to their funky packaging. If you bought a downloadable copy, you should have received a confirmation e-mail that contains your product key. Otherwise, you will need to contact Microsoft to have them help you straighen out the situation.

is that the product key that came with the operating system? and if you gave the key to someone else to use thats prob why, ask microsoft what the problem is you cant just ask for a product key and get it, its illegal if thats the one you got at the store or with the computer they should be able to give you another key
