Hello The video IF section of your TV should be troubleshooted. It is a really vey skilled work, needs through knowledge in electronics, and seperience to follow the schematic diagram of the main circuit board. Even an expereienced service technician may also take some time to detect the actual fault point. This is the picture of the main board to your TV. If you can get it new, it will be best to replace it as card basis. OK.
Schematics are never available for free.
In printed form, they are sold in bundles with those from several sets packaged together. This is why service technicians are the only ones who usually buy them. In machine readable form, they are available as part of a subscription database service; again, too costly for an individual.
Even with schematics, it is DANGEROUS to work on the inside of a projection TV. There are High Voltages which can persist for WEEKS after the set is turned off.
Even if you could find and replace the bad part, readjusting the pincushion settings usually takes special instruments. Unless you are planning this as the start of a new career, you had better call a service technician.
Polaroid will not release component schematics not even to service centers as they are designed to replace the entire modules while under warranty out of warranty there is very little Chance of obtaining new replacement parts. As i have a 2006 LCD and a 2007 Plasma Polaroids and polaroid told me they are considered a disposable TV replacement parts are not available and suggested that I try ebay
that "pop" was the flyback transfor, a resistor, or a capacitor bloweing up. if your not a technician this is considered a circuit repair and ther are no serviceable parts inside this set for you to replace without the proper tools , service manuals, and schematic diagram. Sorry man your gonna need a serfvice pro to help ya with this repair. Good Luck
