The computer says that my wireless capabilities are turned off

Look on both sides and in the front of the laptop for a switch or button that controls the wireless.

If the wireless switch is turned on then maybe you hit the keystrokes that toggles the wireless On or Off.

Normally to toggle the wireless with keystrokes you have to Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the correct key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the wireless. The correct key will have the wireless icon on it and it may look something like this )))). Or it may be a tower with ))) on it.

Hi I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo pi1505. I cannot connect to any network via the LAN connector. Also the wireless LAN which used to work has suddenly stopped working. I went into the BIOS setup and...

Whenever you can't connect to a network it is rarely the computer that is at fault, especially if it has been working.

Step 1, however, is to turn off your modem, router, and computer for 10 to 30 seconds, then turn on the modem and router (often the same unit), then the computer. If the computer is connected to an Ethernet cable, make sure you see lights on both ends of the cable, on the router and on the computer, if not, unplug and re-seat the plugs.

Step 2, If step 1 did not resolve the problem, bring up your command line on the computer. In Windows, click start and type cmd then hit the enter key or Win+R, type cmd and hit the enter key... this will bring up a command line tool. In Linux, find the terminal app.

Step 3, in the command line tool, type: ipconfig (ifconfig if you are using an Apple or Linux product) and hit the enter key.
You will be presented with a list of items, look for your IPV4 IP Address. Your IP address should look something like If the first number is 169 you are not connected to any network. Look for a default gateway and write down that IP address (usually, but could be something like

Step 4, type the command ping (use your gateway address). If you get replies back from that, you are able to talk to your router.

Step 5, type the command ping If you get no replies back, your internet service provider is most likely down, and you should call them. It could also be that your DNS server is not properly configured in your network settings, but if your computer WAS working, it should still be OK.

Step 6, If none of the above solves your problem surfing the web with a browser, then your browser may have been hijacked, you will want to run a couple of good anti-malware utilities to find out. I use two to solve most problems: HitManPro ( and MalwareBytes (

Both printer and 9 pin serial ports not working

What has changed? One solution is to go into BIOS when you first turn on your PC hit <del> key. Make sure the ports are enabled. The second solution is to make sure you didn't add a device with serial ports or something which is sharing the same IRQs, which is 3 4 and 7 traditionally (for COM1/2 and parallel port).

If you tried all this and it doesnt work, then somehow the chip on the motherboard which handles these (the UART chip) has broke, you need to replace the motherboard or buy a card with serial and parallel ports on it (this should be quite cheap, ie 10-20 dollars).

Both of my keys suddenly do not work.

It sounds like the tumbler that the key goesd into has broken, and the componets inside of it have made contact so that it is stuck in the start position. disconnect the wire from the switch in the column and hook the batt. back up if problem still prosists get the starter checked to see if it has malfunctioned

Hi. sounds like your ignition lock is stickey not retracting all the way thus meeting partially with the ''hole'' its supposed to lock in, in the steering coulomb. i suggest you remove ,properly clean and inspect the lock for problem areas, kindly lubricate the involved bits and test, if all fails replace the ignition lock.
