What kind of discs r you using? Blu-ray players enforce on the wire encryption called HDCP. I got a call from a customer who was trying to use a cable box and ps3 hooking up to some splitter, then to a single HDMI on the tv. Turns out he was possibly breaking the handshake between the source and the television. Try a non copyrighted video, like a burned copy of a dvd or a home video. and see what happens.

RCA 62" mod p46770ck need

Now I know the rest of the story: After I went to see the TV I was told it had happened after a storm the next day the set was dead. She had already recieved the insurance money. She said she did not want to spend much money on it as she obtained the set at a garage sale for 60 bucks 6 years ago. As I looked into the circuit board I noticed evidence of water damage and looking up the case and on top, yup, thats why she got it so cheap. I do think it is lightly damaged. As a grandmother of a close friend I didn't Intend to charge her but she gave me some bucks and the insides of the tv. I'm sure their isn't much time on it. If any one wants some parts on a 1993 RCA mod p46770ck (48" screen) contact me thru snailmail @ Whiskers, rr1bx57a zip 64632 Include your ph.# and I will call you. (I don't use the computer every day)

Have you checked the fuse? If the fuse is good you have a problem with the power supply which can be repaired. You would need a service manual for the power supply. But that would be a lot cheaper than having it repaired by a shop. Power supply problems usually run about 400 to 600 in a repair shop. When often it is a 20.00 part. If I can assist you further please let me know.

RCA Projection TV will not turn on

hey,
I just fix my RCA p46770ck with that faint click sound when you try to power on. It was the HV splitter for $74.and change. after a long hunt to find the source of the problem I did what my local appliance store said to do replace the hole board for $275 luckily I was able to return that because it did nothing different than my board/module click.... click.... clickclickclickclickclick turn on you peace of @#%! any way if you unscrew the back cover off you'll see a black box at the top left corner with 4 red wires going to it groped 3 and 1. The 1 is your HV (High Voltage) supply and then gets split to each tube. Oh you should of unplug the tv before you touch any thing HV is 30,000 volts after you unplug you should push the power button to get ride of all voltage. please feel free to contact me at Heicheltechservice@hotmail.com for any Q: I can get part numbers or help in any whey i can

JVC 48" rear projection AV48WP30 is HAUNTED

Dear Losing Sleep, The symptoms you're describing sounds like a bad tac switch or two. You might notice a bit of a pattern also, consistent with temp changes. (ie: up in the early AM when house got cooler, and bingo set is on). It's not an expensive repair. Tac switches are an item under a buck a piece. However, this is NOT something you want to tackle yourself... This TV is actually built to self destruct if a less than educated tech opens the back. If you remove the rear cover while the power is on you will destroy all DVI programing inside the DVI (Digital Input Module). The only way to restore the programming is to send the unit to JVC. There is a light sensor inside the TV and when the back is removed with the power on the data is erased from the eprom. You might even take it an extra mile when calling around to find a shop to work on it by asking if they know the correct procedure for opening the back of your TV - - If they do know their answer will be something like this: First turn off set and remove power cord then short pins 1 and 2 on the SB connector of digital input module. Before replacing the rear panel remember to remove the short on the SB connector. Do not turn power on until the rear panel is inserted into the cabinet. If you have to work inside the set with power on remove the two cables going to the DVI module. When you find the right shop take the unit in yourself - you'll save a few bucks that way. Hope this helps. Bill
