Wireless speakers for Panasonic Sc Pt-960 will not work!
The light on the wireless reciever blinks from red to green, the w1 flashes on the dvd box. I have everything hooked up correctly, and the sound is great from the front and center speakers but I can not get any sound our of the wireless speakers. When I turn on the wireless box it sounds as if the speakers come on then shut right back off and then the light starts to flash. Is this a problem I can fix? If so, how? Or is it a problem with the system itself and it needs to be returned?

Re: Wireless speakers for Panasonic Sc Pt-960 will not...
How long have you owned the unit? It sounds like an internal problem with the wireless transmitter/reciever. If the system is under a year old it is still covered under the manufacturer warranty. 1 Turn on SE-FX65
2 While pressing [>>/>>'] ]
press the numbered button on the remote control until "P" lights
in the home theater unit's display
The indicator on SE-FX65 turns green.
3 While "P" is displayed, press [I/D SET]
4While pressing [>>/>>'}
press the numbered button on the remote control.
This worked for me. I moved and lost the FX65A, and Had to buy a replacement off ebay,
Used this manual
but I have to give mosyzlak props, cause he gave me the idea to look for it.
Just solved this one thanks to another posting on this site. Turn all components off. Check to make sure your wireless card is snugly plugged into the back of the home theatre unit. (Of course you already have. Check again, though, while everything is off.) Turn wireless unit on first. Turn on home theatre unit. The W1 light should be on and blinking red at you (darnit!)
Here's the magic. Hit the >>/>> button on the front of the home theatre unit WHILE you hit the number 3 on your Panasonic remote. The screen changes to a P Then, the wireless unit light should change from red to green (HOORRAAYYYYY!) If you have multiple wireless units, at this point, you should also hit the Set/ID button on the back of the wireless unit (it is the kind of button that requires something to poke into it to set it).
Then simply hit the >>/>> and 3 at the same time again. All's good.
And by the way, shame on Panasonic. not only do they not seem to carry these manuals anymore (how hard would it be to have a PDF file and a link on a web page?) but the support info they did have did not contain these steps. Thanks to the FixYa member willray411 for posting this first!
If you go into the set up menu and go to the speakers set up - it only
shows the right, left, centre and subwoofer on the screen. You need to
go down to the box below these speakers and activate the rear speakers
which are not shown. The wireless section will then light up w1/2 on
the display at the front of the scbt100 - i had to call panasonic to
figure this out and they advised me it was missing from the
After some research i came with the solution!!! First Turn off the home theater and turn it on again, lower the volume completely. Then on the dvd unit press the fast forward key>>>> while at the same time you press the number 3 on the remote control. A letter p is going to show oh the display. When this is happening there is a small button on the receiver on the back, you might need a thin object to reach the botton and press it. Press it once and the light will change from red to green. To finish up repeat the fast forwar>>>> key on the unit while pressing #3 on the controller and boom!!!!! the w1 will stop flashing and your surround speakers are rocking!!!!! enjoy it!!!!!!
There are 2 things you can try, first ensure that the digital transmitter is fully inserted into the slot of the main unit. Secondly do you have any other wireless devices near such as cordless phone or wireless network equipment? See page 5 of the installation manual as per this picture.......
