Oddly, when I'm trying to use Intellisync for Yahoo! to upload/sync from any platform on my XP computer (Palm or Outlook) the screen 'processing records' appears for a moment or two and then the screen simply disappears without a trace. No error message, nothing done, just drops off as if Intellisync had not be run at all. I've tried disabling any Firewall or anti-virus which might be jumping in, but I can't see why my computer seems to reject the synching. Interestingly, when using another Intellisync product to synch my Blackberry from Outlook it went flawlessly, so it seems as though the issue is in getting the data out of my machine to the web. Any thoughts? Many thanks!

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software (5.0.1) from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5 Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device. Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.
Hi, When attempting to synchronize between the computer and the BlackBerry smartphone, the Error 0x8004fd28 message appears on the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. This is due to the intellisync folder is corrupted. To resolve this issue, you need to complete the following steps: 1. Close BlackBerry Desktop Manager. 2. On the computer, navigate to the appropriate folder listed below: · If you are using Windows® XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync · If you are using Windows Vista?, go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync Note: If you are unable to view the above folder refer to additional information section on instruction on how to view hidden files 3. Vista has a bug in SP1 that interferes with Intellisync. Make sure that all Hotfixes are installed, and go onto Windows site to look for Intellisync update as well. I have managed to fix this but only after updating every part of Vista that I could!

2. open desktop manager and click on SYNCHRONIZE.
3. click on the CONFIGURATION tab
4. click RESET CONFIGURATION
5. click CONFIGURE SYNCH
6. Select a BlackBerry device application (Address Book, Calendar, MemoPad, or Tasks), then click Choose.
7. click BROWSE
8. add the folders you want to synchronize and then click OK
9. click OK to close the chose application window
10. click OK to close the device cinfiguration window
11. synchronize the organizer data on your black berry device.

Vista is the key as its looking for the administrator to complete the installation You need the following OS to support Messenger Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / XP64 / Vista64 If that is not an issue read on.
The problem may be due to a mal-function of the uninstall software. Close all programs when uninstalling / downloading and uploading. If you tried to uninstall the old Yahoo Messenger program from the Control Panel and failed to back it up with a visit to the 'C' drive, you may have old software conflicting with the incoming software trying to share the same folder. If you have Vista the whole Messenger folder should have been removed during the uninstall. Check Start > Computer >> Local drive (C) >> Program Files >> Yahoo >> Messenger. - The Messenger folder should have been deleted and not seen. If the Messenger folder is still visible - delete it.
If you have a pre-Vista OS, the Messenger folder remains, and inside, only one sub-folder should be seen. This is the 'Profile' folder and contains all the message history. All other software should have been deleted.
Manually delete any other folders and files before moving on
Download 'ccleaner' and run it through a couple of times.
Re-start your computer and download Yahoo Messenger from here.
If your using XP, go to the Windows Media Player and load the CD. You will see a Sync Icon. When you click on it will run and then give you a sync
Plug in your Sansa to the usb port and load from the Windows Media Player.
First, uninstall all software, Palm Desktop and Intellisync. Move the user files to the desktop. Reinstall all software. Try a sync.
If this doesn't work, move the user files back to the proper location. Then uninstall all software, Palm Desktop and Intellisync. Now do a hard reset of palm unit. Try sync-ing.
