Question about Nokia Cell Phones
I bought a new nokia 5610xpress music... unfortunately it cames to be stolen. But I had many chance and we found it back after some weeks... But all the pictures I've made are (of course) gone.
As I plugged the phone in my PC, it is found and I can browse the folders.
I've some software for restoring datas, but they need to have a drive lettre... what doesn't give me my computer for my phone...
The pictures were saved directly on the phone and not on a card...
So my question : is it possible to set a drive lettre to the phone, so I can try to restore my pictures ? or do you know another way to solve this ?
my system : Window XP SP3
my phone : nokia 5610 xpress music
SOURCE: nokia 5610 memory card
5610 back cover has a peg or spike that push down one pin on the right of the camera lens, if your back cover is not properly closed, warped or you have something (such as a spare simcard) wedged inside, the memory card will not be detected. To save the hassle to get a new cover, wedge something tiny on that pin before putting back your back cover. If this does not solve your problem, better send your phone to a service center.

if he has successfully restored your phone settings it impossible to get you data back. But hoping for the best just go to your messages- settings-others-memory in use and select phone memory. its actually not possible for restoring the phone just playing with it or pressing buttons . it seems like his curiosity killed the cat. all my condolences with you.

If you forget your memory card password, there is nothing either you or a service point can do. It is not possible to read the password from the memory card or from the device. Passwords cannot be disabled.
When you lock your memory card with a password, your device will remember it. Therefore, the device does not have to ask for the password every time you access the memory card. However, when you insert your memory card to another Nokia device, you are asked to re-enter the password. The password is asked because the memory card remembers the password protection settings, including the password.
Note: After you reflash your Nokia device and re-insert the memory card, you are asked to re-enter the password, as it has been erased from the device during the flashing process. You have to re-enter the password to get access to the memory card, and after that the device will remember the password again for future use.
If you have forgotten the password but you still want to try to use the memory card, try formatting it. If the formatting process is successful, the memory card is usable but all data on the memory card is erased.
To avoid unnecessary risks, write down your password somewhere and backup your memory card data regularly.

I use SE W960i adn usually face these problem and I have over a period of time learnt these:
1) Try deleting any of the old version of backup that you may have from the backup manager (if you still need the old one then import them to your PC)
2) another usually reason may be that you are trying to restore a lot of stuff at once so may be try restore only setting, multimedia, contacts, at first and the rest later.
These things worked for me, hope it does for you also,
