Onkyo tx2500 mk2 only works on mono - Audio & Video Receivers

My Onkyo tx2500 mkII has the same problem, but intermittently. In my case, the two tape monitor buttons on the far right are the problem, or more specifically, Tape 2 Monitor. I notice that if I wiggle the button around, the unit will recover its stereo potential. I'm guessing that the accumulated interior dust (which I've blown out after opening the case up) contributed to this. I still have the problem, but it's less frequent after the cleaning.

I have a new Onkyo TX-SR508 receiver. When listening to FM radio the audio cuts out repeatedly for anything from a few seconds to a minute. Power fluctuation is very unlikely to be the problem. Signal...

Does the display show "tuned" or "FM Stereo"? This would normally indicate a good reception. The tuner has a signal level threshold and if the signal gets to week, the receiver mutes to prevent noise in the speakers. Swithing to mono make reception less intolerant. Does the problem also occur, when you switch to mono?

Unsure of audio setting using Onkyo TX-SR606 connected to PS3

The PS3 should default to the DOLBY DIGITAL sound output so your ONKYO should be setup to the Digital input, TV logic is a matrix similated multi-channel and I doubt if any PS software is in the DTS audio format, look at your game software disc`s and they will inform you of the audio capabilities.

Clicking noise from Onkyo TX-SR606 during television broadcast

I seem to recall a sub-menu setting having to do with "auto shut off" or something like that.

My receiver is packed up, ready to take to Fry's, or I would find that submenu for you.
