Cannot Dispaly This Video Mode

Monitor: Flat Panel Monitor / Model : 1907FPt

I was playing a video game when all of a sudden my computer went into this strange tie-dye pixelation that covered the whole screen and completely froze my computer. When I restarted it, and every time since, it goes directly into a black screen (Don't evne have time to access safe-mode, none of the F keys work, neither do DELETE or ESC) and says:

2 : Digital Output
Cannot Dispaly This Video Mode
Optimal Resolution 1280x1024 60Hz

I tried hitting the menu button on my monitor but nothing happens!

Please help if you can.

1. If you have an Nvidia or ATI graphics card your video card is bad.
2. If you have integrated graphics (the video port is part of the motherboard), your RAM is bad.
3. Your computer is packed full of dust because you've never cleaned the GD thing and it's fking overheating.

Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if the same symptoms occur the problem is the Video Graphics Card in the computer, but if the picture is okay, it is clearly the LG Flatron that has the problem, and if possible sub the video cord from the computer to the monitor just to be sure.

Hi there. I had the same problem months ago when I try to play high end games like Sims 3 my monitor goes into power saving mode. I tried to check every possible causes of the problem. It could be that your computer is overheating try to clean your computer and check if your fans still works. Second it could me your power supply malfunctioning, maybe it does not meet the required power to make your game work. Last cause is your video card malfunctioning, what I did is to just buy a new video card and it works.
If you do not have spare power supply or video card you can go to a computer repair shop for them to check the possible problem that causes it to go into power saving mode. It can also save you money before you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps, Have a good day!

It sounds like you have a driver problem. I would recommend that you reinstall the drivers for your video card. After that I would make sure that you install the drivers for your monitor. 1440x900 is not a standard resolution so the Windows default monitor driver may not have the proper refresh rate for your monitor. If you monitor drivers do not have a installer the link below will help you install them.

During use playing games the screen suddenly went black; i operate two monitors simultaneously and the cable works fine on the other monitor and both graphics cards are working, any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi, if you loose video on both monitors, that means there is a problem with the video cards. I guess you already tried to update the video drivers to the latest ones, so the only thing remaining is maybe an hardware problem with the video card. Try to play your game at a lower screen resolution and see what happens. Also, if you have a flatscreen monitor, try to lower the refresh rate at the default 65Hz or 70Hz. If after 30 min or so you still loose your image, make sure the monitors are still powered (usually the green light will turn orange awaiting a singal to open and turn green then) Some video cards got some issues with heat after a certain amount of time. Something about GNU but i'm not 100% positive. Anyway, in that case, you may have to replace your video card, god of waranty please be with us! good luck

Volume Box wont go away

Try running the game in windowed mode. Open up the WoW game, go to Video, then check "Run in windowed mode" this will let it run like any other program. (You will still be able to see your task bar however it should remove the volume box)

Try connecting your monitor with another PC and check if the problem is with your Monitor or is it the Video Card of your PC which is not sending Video Signals to your Monitor.

Flat Panel Monitor: 1907FPt

Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:
  1. Turn off both your computer and monitor.
  2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove both Digital (white connector) and the Analog(blue connector) cables from the back of computer.
  3. Turn on the monitor.
The floating 'Dell Self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen on a black background if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green. Also, depending upon the selected input, one of the dialogs shown below will continuously scroll through the screen.
    1. This box also appears during normal system operation if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged.
    2. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable, then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.
