I have a ASROCK G31 945 intel MOther board , When i purchased i fiited with IDE CD/DVD Drive . INow is it possible to connect the SATA CD/DVD drive to my mother board. i have SATA connector on my MB ....

You need is an open slot for the drive, an available SATA slot / cord, and a SATA power. It may require you to go into BIOS, and in some cases a driver for the new drive. Don't forget the SATA drivers if you have XP.

Asrock k8nf6g-vsta motherboard will not power up

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

Please suggest a reasonably priced video card with dvi or display ports compatible with the ASrock AM2NF6G-VSTA. windows xp pro sp2. Thank you.

Because it has NVIDIA® GeForce 6100 / nForce 405 Chipset.
any NVIDIA® GeForce card will be the best to get, but why do you wan't a new card when the on board one is a NVIDIA® GeForce6-class graphics DX9.0 VGA, Pixel Shader 3.0, Max. shared memory 256MB?
just get a VGA to DXI converter that's what i did there only a couple of pounds.

I have asrock prescott 800 ddr400 fsb800 motherboard. i bought a new dvdrw that is sata. is this dvdrw compatible with the mother board? where to connect?

Sorry but the motherboard Asrock 845GV (P4I45GV) doesn't have a SATA controller and there for does not have the ability to connect a SATA CD/DVD-ROM drive to the MB. However you can buy a serial ATA IDE to SATA converter which will allow you to connect you're SATA CD/DVD-ROM drive into an opened IDE port. Provided is a link to you're motherboard;
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P4i45GV%20R5.0 Next, is a link for the SATA convertor;

AM2NF6G-VSTA: Contantly system powering off suddenly because of overheat

disconnect everything from M/board except for memory and video
this means hard drives cd dvd etc only leave memory and video connected
check your cpu heat sink for dust and fluff clogging it
then try to boot when you do check cpu fan working
If it still fails to start your motherboard is probably 90% buggered and you need a new one sorry for the news
