Hi i turn on the TV and It gives the normal starting click and the LED light comes on. Then a few seconds later the screen appears to be starting up (or turning on or whatever) it goes from completely black (off position) to a slightly lighter shade. As if it is on but I am not getting any picture sound or a menu channel or volume when i push the buttons on the TV (I don't have the remote) . When i plug my Xbox into the hdmi slots it recognizes that it is plugged into something and begins to start up. But still no picture or sound. I've tried all of the inputs and they all show the same results. I would like to know what would need to be replaced.
This is a protection mode. Some secondary circuits are loading the power supply. It could also be a problem within the primary section of SMPS, as it waits for feedback after switching to start switching. Needs thorough board level checking. Better refer it to a trained technician.

Call Panasonic customer service. This is a well-known problem (I had the exact same problem with my television) and Panasonic will send over a technician to fix your television. I needed two new parts to be installed. Once the new parts are installed your tv should work fine (although now my volume doesn't work).

You probably have some bad buffer boards as well as a bad Y-main bd and or a bad X-Main bd. Have a trained samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

IF your not getting sound and its shutting down it could be a the main board, or the power supply (huge board in there.) I just got done parting one of these tvs that was in a vacation rental. the tv met with an unfortunate accident so the screen was cracked and so on. Anyhow if your intrested i have the main board and the power supply board for that exact model. I was listing them on ebay and saw this post. Listing here. I am going to probaly get about 25 buck a board (very cheap) plus shipping. IF your intrested let me know and I list that power supply board as well. I can't guarentee it will fix it but its worth the shot for 50 plus shipping. form my experience with mostly LCD tvs if your not getting sound odds are its the main board. I also listed what was refered to as the signal scaler (logic board)

like i said it clicks lie it should LED stays solid like it should . Screen gets a little brighter like it should. But it just doesnt show any response to any button i press
What is the SMPS (like which board) and which board do you think would be the cause of it.
