so does that mean I would have to buy a flyback and a deflection board? How much does all that run just for parts?

Not likely. I would attempt to get a deflection board to fix the problem.

I have a panasonic chassis ct27hl14 with a bad flyback, can i use a txfft01gser in place of the txfft01jser flyback?

Not sure, I'm having problems myself. The HOT shorted, replaced with a new one, still no HV. Did you have similar problems and it blew the flyback? I hate Panasonic for not putting values, just some part number on their capacitors, etc, so you can send it in to them. If that were the case, I should just take this TV out for target practice, as I have a flatscreen. If my board is screwed and the TXFFT01JSER is good, are you interested in it? Also, what's the B+ pin on this, I got a couple options, 4, and the one next to the HOT collector pin.

RCA 32V550T Nothing happens when you press Power. NOTHING.

This set needs a flyback transformer p/n 262342, and a horizontal output IC, location number on the board is q14401 and crosses to NTE2353. When you're in there too touch up any bad solder joints you can find. Fixed several of these with the same problem.

Okay let me know what you think

the flyback transformer is the large black component simalar looking to a disrtibitor of a car it has a large red wire coming out of top and a black wire. On the bottom of the board it has about 10 pins arranged in a circle. this is flyback is located adjacent to the fuse.

BLURRY SCREEN

If all 3 colors are mis-aligned, you may have solder connections that blew a fuse. There are three fuses next to the flyback transformer, one usually blows causing this issue. Resolder the flyback solder connections and replace the fuse to fix.

yes the flyback is inside the TV, and yes I can post a link where you can get a new replacement for around 50 dollars and it comes with free on line tech support so you can do the job yourself. Its a job that only requires basic soldering skills. If you would like the link let me know

RCA P46921. Just changed flyback.

if nothing has been tampered with ie. focus controls, lens focus, I would check to make sure the high voltage lead is seated correctly.

TV repairman blew fuses??

yes maybe ...but he made problems alot worse bypassing your fuse, the fuse is there to blow if you have a short and not harm other components. my guess is that he damaged your power supply and then fixing that youll still have the orginal problem. I think I was the only tech in Houston that could troubleshoot. Sad, but very few good tv men or big screen. we trained are outside guys not to touch much but do slight adjustments and bring it into shop if you dont have a clue and they make some story up to the customer. good luck
