early electronic ignition model i think if my oldtimers memory is correct ,try changing the ignition module ,i think it either under the coil or inside the distributor
You have to get at the tensioner from underneath the vehicle. It's hard to get at. What I did was go and buy that belt too, cut the old one off and used a screwdriver to install the new one while turning the engine by hand.
FIRST TRY TO SEE IF THE FUSE AND RELAY ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IF THEY CHECK OUT THEN CHECK FOR SPARK AT EACH ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS. IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK THEN I WOULD REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THIS DEVICE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OPENING INJECTORS AND SPARK PULSE THROUGH THE COMPUTER. HOPE THIS HELPS. ok disconect the old one complety from the battery FIRST then the starter motor, on your new positve put you conectors on then connect to the starter motor FIRST then to you battery make sure there all tight then your ready to go
