Stuck in demo mode

I'm pretty sure my television is tuck on demo mode. It was working fine then one day it just started doing this thing where it flips through all the inputs and now the remote doesn't work either. What should I do? We are also stuck in the demo mode and it is not responding to the remote. We have tries new batteries in the remote or the buttons on the front panel.

After you did that operation, probably the tv was set into another function. Be sure that in the remote the switch is selected "tv" go to menu and set the tv to the default values.

Sir,

It requires two buttons to be pushed at the same time to knock it out of the demo mode.

Try pressing the up and down volumes at the same time. If that does not do it, try one of the volume buttons and the power buttons.

Also, some of them will go out of demo mode when they are reset. Reset is done by unplugging the power cord for 4 hours, then powering up again.

Hope this helps.

PS: On some sets the buttons on the front of the set must be used, not the remote control

It sounds like you will need to contact toshiba as you have a more serious problem. If resetting the tv doesn't work I would advise either contacting toshiba here:
http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/customersupport/contact.asp
or contacting a toshiba service center and inquiring about an estimate here:
http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/customersupport/service_center.asp
Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.

Thank you and have a great day,
Lee

Just bought a car with this stereo. Was working fine and then I accidentally was messing around trying to figure things out and put it in demo mode. Now it's stuck!! Can someone please help?!?!

With the stereo on, hold the large round button in to get to setting menu. When it gets to that, I believe clock adjust comes up first, just turn the knob to get to demo mode and then push the button in. Turn the knob to switch demo off and then push it again. That should do it.

I had the same problem. Was told to unplug the set for 1 minute but it still was stuck in menu screen scrolling. So I was told to unplug the TV for 4 hours, it resets it I guess because it worked! Try it!

I just found a solution elsewhere on this site...
In order to make the Demo Mode stop, you should press Volume Up and Channel Up together, and hold for four seconds. This worked for my mom's tv, I hope it works for you, mooone (and everyone else, too).
