How do i set bridge mode?

Depends if you need a wireless or wired bridge?

Here is some info for you.

Infrastructure Mode

With a wireless Access Point, you can operate the wireless LAN in the infrastructure mode. This
mode provides wireless connectivity to multiple wireless network devices within a fixed range or
area of coverage, interacting with wireless nodes via an antenna.

In the infrastructure mode, the wireless access point converts airwave data into wired Ethernet
data, acting as a bridge between the wired LAN and wireless clients. Connecting multiple Access
Points via a wired Ethernet backbone can further extend the wireless network coverage. As a
mobile computing device moves out of the range of one access point, it moves into the range of
another. As a result, wireless clients can freely roam from one Access Point domain to another and
still maintain seamless network connection.

I am trying to connect my Dlink DKT-401 router to my Linksys cable gateway router. I am not getting internet access when connecting to the Dlink network

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN RUN 2 ROUTERS ON THE SAME NETWORK UNLESS ONE IS USED AS AN ACCESS POINT.
1. Connect as local device or bridge - If connecting the second router via Ethernet cable, plug it into one of the LAN ports on the first router. If connecting the second router wirelessly, ensure the second router is set for client mode. Note that some home wireless routers do not support client mode; these must be connected by cable. Check your router documentation for details on its client mode configuration support.

2. Check / change IP address - Most home network routers use a default IP address setting. Often, these default IP addresses will not work in a two router environment. Check the second router's IP address value and reset it if necessary to work within the valid address range of the first router (and to not conflict with any other device on the network).

3. Disable DHCP - To avoid IP address conflicts between all of the devices on the home network, only one of your two routers should assign addresses via DHCP. All mainstream routers provide an option to disable DHCP as part of the router's configuration screens.

Instead of adding a second wired router to an existing network, consider adding a network switch instead. A switch accomplishes the same goal of extending the size of a network, but it does not require any IP address or DHCP configuration, greatly simplifying configuration.

2-Wire 3800HGV-B bridge mode

Hello my friend,
You can disable all routing functions for your Home Portal. I never advise this as a course of action as it typically causes more issues than it resolves - so procede at your own risk.

- use the button on the back to reset to factory state (hold for 30 seconds)
- browse to gateway.2wire.net/mdc
- click on configure under broadband link
- set ATM PVC search to disabled
- set connection type to direct IP
- click on configure services under the advanced heading
- take note of the text under "If you want to connect to the gateway when it is in bridged mode"
- un-check the enable routing box
- submit your settings

Good Luck!

I have a DGL-4100 behind a Linksys DSL router 2 networks don't.

zSB(3,3) Installing a Two Router Network Installing a router to work as the second one on a home network requires special configuration. Do the following on the second router to ensure it (and the devices attached) function properly:
    1. Connect as local device or bridge - If connecting the second router via Ethernet cable, plug it into one of the LAN ports on the first router. If connecting the second router wirelessly, ensure the second router is set for client mode. Note that some home wireless routers do not support client mode; these must be connected by cable. CAT 5E DISTANCE

Considering what you started with, it should be slow :-)

If this were my installation I would run HUGESNET>Router>BRIDGE>BRIDGE>ROUTER/AP>PC

The first router is the 150N. The Bridges are two Wireless Access points in bridge mode designed for distance. A nice unit for this application is a TP-Link WA-601G with antennas (ANT2408) found here:

http://www.tplink.com/products/wlan.asp

It will cost you an extra $100-150 depending on antenna, but it should get you good results, considering the SAT is probably 300 down and 128 up :-)

What do you mean by "wireless bridging"? Does it mean wirelessly connecting both routers? (ex. Zyxel is at location A and Micronet ais at Location B and you'll wirelessly connect them). If this is what you mean, then it might not be possible since those are two different brands and possibility is that they will not work with each other when they're wirelessly connected unless one or both routers have the capability to do so.

Point to Point T1 Using Cisco 2800 Routers?

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.
