Youll have to order it through the company that makes the camera. they should have an online site that would allow you to order parts for the camera.

I just bought a nice used Mamiya twin lens C3 but the shutter is locked up. There is a small metal piece holding the shutter release from moving. Not sure how to un-lock, seams to be a safety device of...

The vertical shutter sliding lever gets locked if the film doesn't get advanced to the next frame, and the mode selector is set for single exposure. You can't trip the shutter unless you have film in the camera and you forward the film to the next frame. That should allow you to release the shutter with the sliding lever.

Just got a 645= shutter "release jammed:, I put in new battery and also missing the crank arm, must have had a motor handle before. its like new, meter in prism works new battery, have old 645 J to...

if the shutter is jammed just off the device, and slightly pull the shutter door with your hand 3-4 times.apply a drop of oil on both the sides.and then on the device.and check it will work.
and for the replacement off the handle you will have to check on the old device that where are locks in the back you just have to remove that locks, also check for the hidden screws in the centre or back of the handle.which may be blocking it to be removed easily.

thanks.

I recently bought a Nikon EM camera. The first time I used it worked well but The second time when I took the film to be developed, no photos came out. Now I'm noticing that the film door is not closing...

Without seeing this, I can't really tell it might be that the rear door is slightly bent OR the light seal(s) are preventing the door from closing properly.

When you close the back on the camera it should close without force or pressure to latch, should be a nice crisp click. If once you have the back closed and you cn pinch down on the bck and it moves inward towards the camera then the seals are worn out and need replacing. This isn't a huge job it's one of the more common things with a film camera. I'd say probably a $60.00 fix depending on where you are and most camera repair shops do this.

There could also be several other things that caused the camera to not expose one being the battery could be exhausted (dead) and requires a new one (cheap and available) another is the aperture blades in the lens could be stuck open.

Have a service person check it out before loading more film

Lost the battery plug for a mamiya 1000s camera. It is a threaded plug.

Nice camera! Do you mean the battery housing cover plate? It should swing open like a small door when you press the cover latch.

If you are referring to the circular threaded hole on the bottom of the camera body, it is actually the attachment point for a tripod mounting plate. Mounting the camera is optional- no need to have anything screwed in here. Load film, load battery, advance film with the crank arm, and shoot away! Have fun.

Excessive frost- maybe door won't close well Builds up on to shelves the worst--could it be the rubber seal

First you must fully defrost your freezer. Frost simply attracts more frost. A build up of frost large enough to prevent the door closing properly will grow very rapidly indeed and waste a lot of electricity; it will also overload the compressor and can cause it to fail prematurely.

If the seal is damaged then it will allow moist air in and cause frost. If the seal has simply become unseated, then refitting it will prevent a recurrence.

Unless you have a frost-free model, then all freezers eventually need defrosting. You can slow the process by never opening the freezer door unnecessarily and also by never leaving it open any longer than necessary. Frost free models rely on air circulation via a fan to prevent frost build up. If the fan fails, or if the freezer is overloaded and so preventing air circulation then it will still frost up.

Light seals on my olympus xa2 need replacing

The biggest issue will be removing the old seals. Replacing the very thin ones in the door seams is not required. The large one along the hinge of the door is where most light leaks occur. A thin strip of felt will work as well.
