THe CYAN ink cartridge said it was empty, so I replaced it. Now, no matter what I do the printer says "No Cartridge CYAN" I've put the old one back in (which I believe still has quite a bit of ink left) and it says the same thing, so I switched it back to the new cartridge. Any help on this? Thank you, L

You might have goeetn a bad cartridge. The way the MFC-440 (and lots of other inkjets) detect ink level is by shining a tiny light through a window on each cartridge. If the light passes through then the printer assumes the cartridge is empty.

To fool the printer, take a tiny piece of electrical tape or paper and stuff it into the window on the cartridge. I prefer tape so it doesn't come off inside the printer. Now, the printer will assume the ink is full and should allow you to print with the remaining colors.

The bottom line is, if this works then it means the cartridge is probably empty.

Jast push some ink through the print head plastic pipe.Take a seringe of full ink, put off all the ink cartrige, then set the seringe front hole on the cyan black pipe (that are usually set in side the cartrige). Then push cyan ink into the pipe.
After that, I think your printer would work again.

Brother MC420CN- Black ink cartidge 'near empty' message persists

At 1 of the end sides of the cartage you will see a little window, a beam of light hits that window to determine if you need Ink..Place a small piece of Electric tape over that window and.wallah print, fax and copy away. Brother is a ripoff-A cheap printer that auto-cleans(wastes ink) and locks the whole system claiming your out of Ink or low>>>But this is sure to work! ;)

Hi, my Brother DCP-115C Brother printer keeps telling me my black ink is empty despite putting brand new cartridges in, can you offer any help. Thanks.

Black electrical tape is the answer and it’s because the tape is BLACK. Even if u put black tape on an empty cartage the printer will still try to print.

The tape goes on the side of the cartage that faces the back of the printer (where the sensor must be).

Toner Cartage

Really Magicolor 2430DL is a very worst printer in this world.
within 2 months drum cartridge finish - no other printer like this type of option - like black, color & durm cartridge.

I will recommend - not to go for the thirdclass cartridge. go for only HP.

thanks
