What should I do? I don"t want to use something to push the little mini CD farther in and I'm afraid if I push it in I won"t be able to get it out without damaging the computer or sticking something in to pull the CD out. I could damage the CD/Laptop or both?
Call the phone # on the brochure or your service plan and they will send a full size disk for free.
I have a XPS 1530 and I had no problem with the CD. I put it into the slot, it sucked it in. Downloaded the program, and when I pressed eject, it ejected the cd. I it has a sensor in the dvd/cd drive. It will not eat it.
Exactly, It's states in the user manual This system supports only 12cm discs. You need to have a copy made of the disc on a standard size CD. I would take the disc to Walmart along with the documentation showing why it will not work. Inform them this is true with all slot-load drives. Have them accept responsibility for copying the disc.

The best way to do this is using the Offline NT Password &

You can download it at the following link:

This
utility will enable you to reset the password of any user that has a
valid (local) account on your Windows NT/2k/XP/Vista etc. system.
