Inverted display on newly installed Furuno Nav Net 1944C

Installed new NN1944C radar. The display on the screen is inverted, 180 degrees out of whack. Also, I cannot re-access the installation wizzard to check if I made a mistake there.

If the unit is new and never been set up post installation, that's probably your problem. You have to go into the Installation Wizard and set the unit up properly. There are multiple choices of displays and scanner units to select to obtain the configuration you have. Then the radar has to be optimized (auto-tuned). If you don't have access to an installation manual and feel confident yourself, you'll need to contact a local Furuno authorized dealer or call Furuno USA tech support and they'll walk you through it. Press and hold "MENU" during power on.Continue holding menu during start up, at least until the boat appears.
Choose , "Installation Mode", Choose "Menu", "System Configuration", "Installation Set Up" "Radar Set Up".

Here is where people get lost! Choose "Next Page", Choose "Heading Alignment". You will be prompted to place the dotted line on a target "dead ahead". Follow instructions and then, do not forget to press "SET". Press Return Return Return or Menu to exit and resume normal operation.
Note that the installation menus disappear if they are not accessed for five minutes!.

That is all there is to it.
Please "Optimize Radar Video" in same menu (Radar Set Up).

I was wiping my keyboard when I accidentally inverted the display of the monitor. How could I revert the display back. Thanks

This actually happens a lot, and it's very tricky but simpleto fix.
Here is a full list of keys that someone on another website sent me for
screen orientation problems, in case it's ever useful.

Ctrl-Alt-Up - right side up

Ctrl-Alt-Right - 90 degrees

Ctrl-Alt-Down - 180 degrees

Ctrl-Alt-Left - 270 degrees

If these don't work you'll have to do it manually,
There is an icon at the bottom of the screen (now maybe the top) for yourgraphics properties. Right Click it

Select--->Graphics Options--->Rotation---> and make sure"normal" is checked
It will be weird with the screen inverted but give it a go.

Hope this helps

Radar Displays the image upside down

If this is on the radar screen, you'll have to set your heading alignment on your radar. The radar may be 180 degrees out. if this occurs on the plotter, then if you have a heading sensor attached or an autopilot, your heading may be off.

Furuno 1622 doesn't work, water coming out cable at screen!

yes the cable should be replaced if you are lucky, the unit is still OK (display) Try the new cable, draped across the boat before rigging. If fault exists with new cable, replace system, or find a new display on ebay

WAAS

sounds like the problem is with the pilot. You may be expecting too much from nav mode you should check the antenna connector on the WAAS issue
on VX2, are you marking a good bottom on the sonar screen, but have no digital overlaid? never seen it, must be a BB thing

Glitch transferring WPTS from NNVX2 to SD card G'day, After trawling through the answers section I couldnt find one to this problem so here goes..... I am having ongoing problems trying to transfer waypoints from the VX2 to SD card. OK, so I am going through the motions in: "system configuration" / "transfer data" / "download to SD card" / I select "ON" for "waypoints" and "settings"...this is where the fun begins. I've tried two ways without luck.... 1. the SD card out method. I follow steps above to get to final save/transfer of data / remove Navionics card / press "save" using the soft key / unit displays "insert SD card and press enter to continue".....I insert card....nothing happens. 2. I insert SD card early on. advance through the above steps again but once I get to the page where you select which data to transfer/save to card (settings, waypoints, routes, marks) the unit goes non-responsive and i cannot actually select "save" to begin the transfer as its essentially frozen. NOTE: When I remove the SD card, all functions commence working again as normal. Question: When the transfer beigins does the VX2 display a message such as "processing now" or "downloading data"? Secondly, how long would 500 waypoints and setting take to download? a few minutes or considerably longer? Background: I have 2x VX2 screens linked by NMEA (Use one for GPS and other for sounder) and getting the same result from both units/SD slots so dont think its unit specific. I am using a 4GB SD card off the shelf from the local electrical store. Happy to hand it over to to a more learned technocrat and sincere thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas.
