Some of my keys stop working on my gateway m505 notebook

It may just be dirty. Get a spray can of electrical cleaner. With the unit turned off, spray the keyboard. Try to spray some under the keys. Let it dry out for an hour and power up. The cleaner is denatured alcohol so it evaporates quick. This is a good thing to do as routine maintenance also.

Not detecting wireless networks


Restart the computer and keep on tapping F8 keep, select Safemode with Netwroking. Once the computer is booted check for wireless network is detected. If yes, then the scurity program is blocking wireless, change the settings.

It's probably Fn key plus another key.
Try Fn+F11

On my left control panel my audio control buttons

This problem arises by uninstalling or deleting some part of audio driver, or audio supporting software.Try to restore the system to earlier time,when system worked normally. i think it solves your problem.if it is not leave a feedback ,we will glad to assist you

Gateway M505 internal cd-rom slot does not take in a cd dvd


Not unless you know A LOT about electronics. It's best to just remove the drive and buy a replacement on ebay.

You can either search for M505 drive

or use the part numbers from the drive if you want an exact replacement.
