Question about Televison & Video
I am working on a Mitsubishi ws-A65 for a co-worker. He says the power light comes on then goes back out. I have Read all the posts about the convergence IC's on these units and have already replaced both IC's with the recommended replacement(genuniue sanyo part). Checked all the caps, picio fuses, resistors and the flyback(did ring test). Still have same problem. I read your post about the caps on the DM board. but I cannot ID the caps you said were suspect. The board on this unit on the left hand side looking at the back is two boards connected together. One is where all the input and output connections go and the other has a daughter board attached to it with the metal shield. Is this the DM board??
Thanks for any help you can offer

Two choices =
1) Replace DM MODULE. 650.00 is right.
2) Rebuild DM MODULE. Done right = a little less than Mits.
Caution: High degree of skill needed and ask about warranty
in either choice.Rebuilds usually cover only parts installed,
not complete module. If you do the research on repair, you
will find pin push reset does not work,in most cases....T.

SOURCE: 65" Mitsu with 55" DM ?
I replaced the caps first on my 55" first as well....Then after prodding around with a multimeter on the DM board I found A surface mount 125v 4 amp fuse chip(very small) near the capacitors I replaced that was bad( giving resistance when tested)..On my board the location is labeled fb902 I believe..Test for continuity from one side of the fuse to the other with a multimeter or cheap continuity tester....Couldnt believe I found that tiny problem in the sea of circuits....good luck...Sorry if my terminology sucks but Im a first timer as well....
