Question about PC Laptops
Laptop : HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv2000t
When I turn it on, the monitor is blank, and after three seconds, three beeps occur, one long beep, followed by two short ones. The monitor stayed blank after this and nothing else happens.
If it was a video card failure, I'd like a step by step guide of taking apart my laptop safely and repair it. I have some screwdrivers, other special tools and a grounding strap. If it was other hardware or RAM that failed, I'd like to know exactly how to fix them as well. I received one long beep followed by two short beeps. I have switched out ram. Screen remains blank.
One long followed by two short beep IS a video error. However, your model laptop does not have a separate video card. The only fix is to replace the mother board. Here is the service manual that will show you how to take apart the laptop and even give you the part number you would need to replace the motherboard.
Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
