Hello hey..well ive got a problem with my camera it says its got a built in webcam with it and i want to use it. how do i set the webcam up to make it work? please an you help me asap. x

have you looked at VLC player it has web cam record function and video recording. may have to cheque in settings for save format and it completely free

hey check it on the bios , some bios have the option of unable/ disable of the webcam

You can use the built in camera in Compaq Presario PC Notebook by installing software for web cam.

If you are using Win XP then it had a built in webcam viewer, just by double clicking the camera in my computer.

First go into control panel and look under scanners and cameras and make sure it's there.

Then go to skype.com and download there free webcam program. it will check your sound and video camera. you can also go into skypes options and make changes to your camera and mic settings.

The easiest way to find your web cam is by clicking on the start page on your desktop screen, You will see a small bar at the bottom of the start page that says "start search".

Type in the word "web cam" into the bar and you will see the web cam logo among the search result. Click on it and your web cam will open and you can start using the web cam

Take a look under USB devices if you have any unidentified device. If found uninstall it, reestart the laptop.

also the cd program may be needed

This solution did not help me, my webcam did not seem to be mentioned or my problem.
My built-in webcam is A Crystal Eye webcam built into my Acer, i need to set it up MSN but have no disc to do so.
Any other help i would be very grateful for.
