Re: hello

Plug the camera into the computer using the usb cable supllied. When the removable disk appears in the "My Computer" section, right click it and click "format". Format at fat32 and then click start. This may take up to 1 minute to do depending on speed of computer and size of disk. If that fails, create a folder in the removable disk.

Hey, I had this exact same problem the other day. After hours of searching, I finally found this. It contains everything that you will need. Here's what to do:
  1. Extract the files to a folder.
  2. Open it up, and click on "Setup"
  3. Follow the on screen directions, and restart your computer.
You should now be able to download the pictures from the camera.
Thanks for using FixYa!

How do i turn mycamera into a webcam

Some cameras such as the Sony Cybershot line are pre-installed with a software that allows you to turn the camera into a webcam. Depending on which camera model it may be, you can either have this option or not. Usually with cameras that have the software, it should be shown somewhere in the manual. If not, you can use a third-party software like Sarmsoft Webcam.
If your camera does this, then follow these steps:
  1. Check if the camera can be used as a webcam, if your camera doesn't come with the software, use the third party one.
  2. Plug the digital camera's power adapter into your camera. (Sometimes you may need to plug it into an A/C outlet for it to work) This makes sure that your camera doesn't die during broadcasting.
  3. Connect a video cable into your camera's "video out" port. Your camera most likely came with a cable made to connect to a video source. Plug the other into your video card "in" port.
  4. Set up your camera as close to the monitor as you can, it will look and shoot like a webcam in that position.
  5. If you camera doesn't have a built-in mic, then you may need to purchase one. However, most digital cameras capable of being a webcam already have a mic built in.
Enjoy! and Good luck.

I recently just bought a new laptop (compaq presario cq56) it has a webcam and all but its says please turn on the webcam, how do i turn on the camera?

This document pertains to HP Notebook PCs with Windows 7 . A webcam is built into the frame above the display screen on some HP notebooks. Since there is no power button or desktop icon for the webcam, the only way to test and use the webcam is to open a webcam application. Many of the applications used in Vista, such as CyberLink YouCam and QuickPlay, are incompatible with Windows 7. However, HP offers the MediaSmart suite for Windows 7 which includes a webcam application. HP MediaSmart Webcam can record videos, take snapshot photos, add text and animations to the image, track your movements with an avatar, and allow you to adjust the settings of the webcam. Many people use their webcam in a video chat. You can use HP MediaSmart Webcam with most third party video chat programs. Hello guys fuji film s1 pro problem

From the Fuji S1 Manual:

F-- (Flashing) or (lit in M Mode)

The lens mounted is not a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU or no lens is mounted on the camera.

Use a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU (excluding IX Nikkor lenes). (Note that pictures can still be taken in M mode.)

Hey EGrett,
I am providing a link below to the drivers for your camera. The manufacturer does not show a download of the software available for your operating system, but you could probably get a copy of it by calling Canon. I hope this helps!
