I want to scan documents using the ADF, but I got a message on the LCD saying "Cannot scan from ADF". This shouldn't be the case since it's advertised on the box of my Canon PIXMA MX410...

Funny. Actually, very funny. Why? Because it seems that my previous printer was fully functional, but i got a new and better one from Canon, because it had this problem, which seems to be just a false error. The error should say "Please select the paper size to scan from ADF". That's how i just fixed the problem when it appeared on this new device as well.

So the solution (at least for me) is to manually select the paper size to be scanned.

I have a Canon Pixma 260 photo printer which I have not used for 2-3 years. Everything seems to be working EXCEPT when I try to print, nothing appears on the photo paper! I just bought a new ink cartridge...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

I have a multisensor Error message with the Canon iPF8000 model.

I have a Canon IPF8000s. It was working when we bought. But my employee screwed me over and now it doesn't work. I am getting the same error. The screen (Small one where the information is displayed) is saying Multi-Sensor Error, Please turn off printer, wait a while, then turn printer on again. I do this to no avail. It seems to turn on fine. Display would say to close the cave cover and the ink tank cover, so I do this then it would go to the multi sensor error. Please help me, I'm just a kid (18) starting business, and I want to impress my parents. Help! Please!

1. hold RESUME then press & hold POWER
2. release RESUME, then press it twice, the light should go amber then green again.
3. you're now in service mode (you can release POWER now)

for reset waste tank reset is 4 presses of the RESUME button. To confirm, press POWER once

Canon pixma 620 error 311

If you double-click on the printer, there is written:

The printer is connected.

After a while the message "Error 311: The printer is in use or an error has occured." appears and no pages are printed...not all printer is capable on print server. just because it supports Mac on USB doesn't mean it will work on Print server

it seems that printer are not compatible

My Canon PIXMA Pro9000 InkJet Photo Printer paper jam error

Had the same problem with mine. Shook it upside down and cleaned it with air cans after reading this solution for other canon printers:

To my surprise, it worked perfectly... and was great stress relief.

Smartbase MP360 Scanner Not Identified by MS Vista

One thing to check and be sure of is that your printer cable (USB) is definately a USB 2.0 cable. Canon have an issue with their printers with scanners in that the data flow sometimes isn't sufficient when an older USB cable is used. The slightest drop of data on startup or during scanning will cause a stop.

Worth trying and has sometimes solved the problem for my customers.
