Monster power hts 2000 mkII

We have a ticking sound when the powercenter is plugged in. Nothing else is plugged in. When components are plugged in, there's still ticking.

Re: monster power hts 2000 mkII

Usually the clicking sound is when the unit switches from powering the devices attached and charging the batteries, do the devices attached to the ups still function?

If half the plugs are not providing power, the most likely explanation is that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.

In this position, the Unswitched outlets will stil be powered, but the Switched outlets will be OFF.

Probably the battery of UPS. you can contact the manufacturer for the replacement of battery. Also please check the manual if you can replace it yourself.
It could be the power built in power supply, but I would check the battery first.

1000 VA 600W-S/N:20436760610. Unit failed after

I have gone through a few UPS, Im lucky to get 3 to 4 minutes if my power is cut.
I think most people plug too much into the UPS sockets.
The Battery backup protected sockets cant take the drain from everything over a prolonged period of time.
The nature of rechargable batteries means that when plugged permanently into a power supply they get damaged (li-on batterys especially).
Im afraid i cant help with this UPS, looks like you need a new 1.
I now only have my PC/Monitor/modem and router plugged into the UPS protected sockets.
Speakers / printer and other stuff are plugged into the unprotected sockets.

I hear some tick sounds in ups and the ups doesnt supports when there is a shutdown in power

If the UPS does not support the system when there is a shut down in power it means your batteries are degraded.

you have to replace the battery of the UPS and it will be working fine then.

Thank you

Monster power ht 800 just makes noise, won't work. any fix?

Had similar problem. Paraphrasing the warranty info sheet (with concurrance of my Geek Squad friends), our HT800s have sacrificed themselves to protect our components. They tell me it is possible for only one circuit in a home to have an electrical surge. That is why the TV in one room may "blow" and the adjoining room TV not. Bottom line: Time to buy a new surge protector.

On some UPS you have to hold the power button down for 5-10 seconds before it switches on.

Battery/Surge outlets not working...

Sounds like the UPS battery is bad, or the circuit break on it has gone. Is there a reset button on the UPS? Do you have the program that came with the UPS to check the battery status, those programs typically let you run a test on it also.

I/0 error, IS AN INPUT/OUTPUT ERROR. this device is formatted as FAT32 as it is usable on all OS. however if you formatt it to the faster, safer NTFS format, it will only work on 2000, XP etc. so firstly is the device being "seen" by windows? as in does the plug and play connect device sound play? or the green arrow and card icon appera in the bottom left corner? if it doesnt your computer may not have a mass storage device installed, or a driver for it, go into your device managment and click rescan plug and play and if nothing comes up click, view hidden devices, and select the correct driver, by either manually selecting the mass storage or Hdd driver or letting windows find one on the net or locally. if this still doesnt fix things, be aware that external HDD us ealot of power, and some USB ports dont give enough power for the HDD to wind up enough speed to operate. try using a different port, 2.0 not 1.0 as i have found power draw issues with 1.0 USB and/or get a shorter, foot long or less cable. good luck.
