Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer
Put new black ink in but still will not print
In the UK call 0870 2430270
Tell them, because they will ask you to:
You have removed and reseated Black Cartridge
Carried Out Printhead Cleaning
Carried Out Calibration Test, and Black is missing
Did a Test Print (Press Photo & Copy together) and NO BLACK
and they will send a New Print Cradle overnight.
I also complained about wasting ink on multiple tests and got a new pack of ink as well.

Easy to doit. just remove the print head and clean with warm water and dry and then replace.t again

The print head is bad and needs to be replaced. Contact Kodak, and they will send you a new print head free. Make sure that you go online to remove and install the new head. www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport

SOURCE: no black print
I work for kodak with these printer's.
I provide tech support for them.
For this problem all i would recommend is doing the deep clean on the printhead twice, Doing it more then twice is a waste of ink and if it doesnt fix it the second time it won't.
Also replacing the black ink cartridge.
Also calibrating the printer has worked for me a few times.
I would not recommend cleaning the printhead manually, thats more of a chance to break it then fix it.
I would just recommend calling into the kodak tech support and getting a replacement printhead to fix that clogged nozzel problem.

SOURCE: printer will not print in black
Try reinstalling the software. If you are using the disc it came with make sure you check web installation. Do not plug in printer until told to do so.
