Lg direct drive 6kg, not switcing on properly,

When switching on the display shows cl. what does this mean and how can we solve the problem.

I am not showing a error code for CL, there is one for CE that relates to the main board or the stator motor being faulty.

CL means control lock should be a button or bottons on your machine that you press and HOLD to unlock the control panal...so the childern don't mess with your washer....Good luck

My front loader model wd10165fu displays cl and does not switc off.


'CL' stands for Child Lock. In order to release CL, press 'Option' and 'Option' buttons simultaneously. The 'CL' should disappear from the display.

What does it mean when the LG washing machine display showes "CL" and all machine functions freeze? What is the possible solution??


LG washing machines indicating error code CL may have the child lock activated. Try holding down the temperature and eco/rapid options together to turn off child lock.

The washing machine doesnt start at all. The displayer says: CL.


CL means "means chils lock" to disengage hold temp and echo/rapid together and this should solve the problem

LG-Trom Getting error CL .now not able to operate.after switch on it gives CL in display


IE is a water inlet error...meaning that the correct water level was not achieved within 8 minutes or it did not reach preset water level within 25 minutes...

CL is child lock feature which can be toggled on and off by by holding the Pre wash button in for 3 seconds.. Hope that helps...

Error Message CL in the front panel


Error message CL solved. CL means child lock. To deactivate press two linked buttons (on my machine the right options button and the temp button) together for a couple of seconds.

Why dont you people read the user's manual? You wil learn abt your machine, to a certain extent. Try "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This is the child lock display.

Or press "end of cycle" for over 5 seconds. Works for other machines...............And please rate me if helped................
