Its not a big deal............. Try to install the driver of the printer which usually comes with the printer. If you dont have the driver then go to the website of epson and download it .. make the connection correctly............... Then your printer shuld work fine.............
Sounds as if your power supply has a problem with it. Try a different power supply in it. You can usually find them for 10 bucks or so at a local computer shop. Just ask if they have some old ones left from an upgrade.
Hi CainF, most printers do not come with the USB cable needed to connect PC to printer. Click on this link below. http://www.csncables.com/Cables-to-Go-1317X-1340X-GY1045.html
To get a close up view of the ends of the printer cable click additional images just below & to the left of the picture.
You can find these printer cables at most PC stores or you can buy directly from the site above. Their prices are average or better.
The garbage output and feeding blank pages is often a symprom of a corrupt > driver. > Uninstall the printer using the uninstaller supplied by Epson. > This should be in START, ALL PROGRAMS and look under Epson. > Run the uninstaller. > Now open Control Panel and open Printers and Faxes. > Select File/Server Properties/Drivers select the driver that refers to the > Epson Stylus C88 and click on Remove. > Disconnect the cable that is attached to the printer. > Reboot the PC and reinstall the printer using the disk that came with it or you > can see if there is a later driver on the Epson website. > Do not connect the cable to the printer until asked to do so. > Good Luck.
