Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
When putting bleach in the bleach compartment, it just drains straight through to the wash - before I have closed the compartment and started the wash. I cannot figure out what is happening or how to fix it.
Could you be putting too much bleach in? These things are usually designed to be self siphoning once the dispenser is full enough. The idea is that you half-fill it with bleach. At the right point in the cycle, the machine starts adding water, filling the dispenser up to the point where it siphons out until empty. If you overfill at the outset, the thing will empty straight away. If you're sure that isn't the cause, then take the dispenser out and check that the dam that keeps the bleach in place to start with isn't damaged (you may need to take a cover off the back of the dispenser first to see this).
