The LCD screen on the acer 270 travel mater seems garbled like wen u on the laptop you can lines on it and when it reached the xp welcome screen, it shows welcome on top of the screen and not at its normal position. So i was wondering if the LCD in faulty or RAm or Display card...................

It could be a faulty driver, hopefully and not your screen, download driver from here:-
