the game resolution is not supported by your monitor....this is the reason your screen goes blank....
by the next time if the screen goes blank,
press alt+ctrl+del together and check are you able to see the task manager....
if you can see the task manager, then close the game from that window by selecting end task....
if you cant see the task manager, then press ctrl+alt+del together 2 times and check....
if nothing works, then try by checking with any HD monitors if available with you or with your friends...

There is a conflict between this card and something else in the computer. It could be with other integrated video card present in the motherboard. If there are other cards of any type installed in your computer you should remove them first and try the ATI alone. Otherwise you might have a damaged ATI card, or a trully non compatible motherboard.
you should look for updated drivers - www.nvidia.com
If the problem persists, it might suggest a hardware problem.
It is a good idea to test the card in another machine and see if the same problem happens.(maybe in your friends computer ?)
There is ATI Catalyst control centre, which can be downloaded at:
But, I do not think that the problem is from the graphics card. Why is it that you think so? Did you recently install this card?
When the computer restarts like that, without any warning, it is often because of a System Error.
You could try to reset the computer to a point when it worked fine.
