Is it possible for you to test the card in another omputer ? like a friends or something ?

sound as if your card may be overheating...hence the need to restart the PC...normally if the card is faulty it will not work at all..

take the side over off your PC and use a normal room fan to blow air into your box... if everything now works fine you need more fans to extract heat out of you system...

the reason removing the dust helped i little is coz it just longer to get hot now...

next question is of course, what games ? all games ? intense 3D games only ?

try lowering the resolution / settings inside the game and see it it takes longer...

and if its in one game only that may be your problem there... and, by the way...you running XP ? or Vista ? remove SP1 off vista if you can and remove SP3 on XP if youve loaded it...

Black Screen when playing 3D games on ATI Radeon 9550 X1050 Serie

the game resolution is not supported by your monitor....this is the reason your screen goes blank....
by the next time if the screen goes blank, press alt+ctrl+del together and check are you able to see the task manager....
if you can see the task manager, then close the game from that window by selecting end task....
if you cant see the task manager, then press ctrl+alt+del together 2 times and check....
if nothing works, then try by checking with any HD monitors if available with you or with your friends...

Screen goes blank for a few seconds, i get an error from vpu rec.

Hey,

I'm sorry the video card has a hardware problem, have you overclocked it?

the card froze and stoped responding to the commands from the driver. so it had to reset.

This can happen if the card is damaged, by overclock, or the clocks are too high, voltage too low or too high, this is all related to overclocking.

But this can also be caused by overheating.

Blank screen after Bios solved ?

There is a conflict between this card and something else in the computer. It could be with other integrated video card present in the motherboard. If there are other cards of any type installed in your computer you should remove them first and try the ATI alone. Otherwise you might have a damaged ATI card, or a trully non compatible motherboard.

GeForce FX 6800 Graphic... Problem

Hi,
you should look for updated drivers - www.nvidia.com
If the problem persists, it might suggest a hardware problem.
It is a good idea to test the card in another machine and see if the same problem happens.(maybe in your friends computer ?)

Monitor picture is blank on Windows startup

There is ATI Catalyst control centre, which can be downloaded at: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html But, I do not think that the problem is from the graphics card. Why is it that you think so? Did you recently install this card? When the computer restarts like that, without any warning, it is often because of a System Error. You could try to reset the computer to a point when it worked fine.
