Question about Cameras
You stated that you had some switches in stock for the problem with the Dimage Z6 in an earlier response,do you still have the item necessary to fix the problem,is it something that I could possibly replace or would I have to take it to a camera repair shop, and finally how much does this part sell for?
The mode switch is soldered to a circuit board inside the rear panel of the camera, below the LCD screen. It requires a degree of electronic knowledge and skill, as you are dealing with very small, static sensitive boards. The repair requires the circuit board be removed.
I do have the switches in stock, if you want to repair it yourself, or take it to a camera repair shop with switch in hand. The switch is $23.55 USD. plus $4.00 shipping.
