Question about ASUS Eee 4G Notebook

To upgrade my Asus Eeepc 4G

I have an Asus Eeepc 4G, with 4 gig of SDRAm and 512 Memory. Can i upgrade it to at least 20 gig or 40 gig and memory of 1 or 2 gig?

I've got the same little EEE as yours. I just did a bit upgrade my little one with a ram DDRII 2GB. That's the most it can go. I asked about the internal HDD, they said that EEE-PC has a built-in one. So, it ended up that I put an internal HDD into a box. That will solve it all. And...OH! I changed WINXP to Linux as well. That saved some space...I believe.

The only way you can add space is for you to use an external HDD because an Eee PC has a built-in hard drive that cannot be upgraded.

Here are the specifications of the Gateway 838GM: You will have to replace the existing memory with thesesettings only: The machine comes with: 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB PC3200DDR SDRAM DIMMs. Supports Dual Channel DDR Nowyou can only upgrade to 4.0 Gig total. Helo, i want to upgrade memory on my ASUS CUBX-L motherboard. Manual says it recive max 4 x 256 MB of SDRAM. Is it possible to put 512 MB or bigger RAM modules?


yes you can put 512 mb of ram even 2 of it because the capacity of your board is up to 1024 mb of ram but make sure that it is an sdram and it has the same specification on whar is your manual indicate besides on the ram size.

Can I put a 4x/8x AGP card on this motherboard? Also can I upgrade the memory to 1 Gig of PC2100 SDram Non-ecc unbuffered?


The AGP (graphics port) only takes 4x on this motherboard, you can upgrade the memory as far as 2 gig, so yes you can upgrade the memory to 1 gig pc2100.

    Max speed supported for your mobo is: DDR2-533
    You will have to buy (4) 1gb sticks (2gb sticks not supported)
    To use all four gigs of ram you need a 64 bit os.32 bit only supports 3gb of ram. Hope this helps!
