is the mute on? Did the crossover get turned up? Check connections on speaker wires and ground. Manual EQ could be turned down also if available on this model

Sound from reciever

LFE (ONE CABLE ON THE SUB TO SUB OUT ON AVR) OR stereo L/R analog cable from sub to tape in/or out on avr (depends on AVR) LFE connection the sub turns up with the AVR - the stereo cable threw tape in/out on AVR only turns up via its own onboard amp volume from AVR has no affect.

A pulsin sound from the subs

You don't give us much to go on...

Are your subs self-powered? Disconnect the Line In to see if that makes the pulsing stop. if it does there's some kind of signal coming from UPstream or a cable has poor shielding. If it keeps pulsing something's wrong in the sub's power amp(s).

Isolate that much and come back.

Turns off if sound level is increased

there is a protection circuit kicking in.

First thing to check.....Verifiy that all speaker lines are in correct polarity.

+ and gold or writing/stripe on cable.

Check this all the way around and if the sub is a line in sub,, check that also.

You really should just unplug them all and start one by one.

If you cannot get to the wires or its too hard to access,

hold your hand 1/8 of an inch from the woofers. they should be kicking out, not pulling in.

Could also be a blown woofer somewhere in the system.

Hope that helps!

Speakers stopped working.

More than likely you have blown outputs, as the sound you hear when you touch the leads to the terminals is the DC offset of the power supply being routed through your speakers...accordianman

I have an Harman kardon receiver (avr 310) it only plays in left and rigth speaker with surround off . I try everything to make it work in other but it can't .

Surround only works from a surround source such as Pro Logic.
If you are useing a regular stereo source with surround off, the sound will come only from L/R speakers (and sub woofer if used)

Receiver shuts off when I turn up spund past 66db (max)

What receiver do you have? Some receivers do this as a protection mechanism if something is shorting. does it turn off if you disconnect all of the speakers and turn it up? If not, then you most likely have some wires touching each other or something else, or you may have a speaker that is blown or shorted. If it still shuts off them most likely there is something wrong internally, and if thats the case your best bet would be to return it or take it into a professional. Hope this helps.
