Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

My VHS-to-DVD Burned Disc used to work and now it doesn't

Richard,

It could be your disc is scratched or DVD+R can't be read in the DVD player. Check for any scratches. Then pop in the disc in to your PC DVD, to see if it's readable.

I have never been able to play a slideshow 0n my dv454 no matter where i had the discs burned what am i doing wrong? ps the discs play in other dvd players

Check to make sure that the format of the discs burned are acceptable by the dvd player, some companies do not support certain formats. refer to owner manual as to which ones are readable on your particular dvd player. if the dvd player plays other regular/non-burned discs, this is the probable issue,...more info is needed if this is not solution.

best of luck

Does it use DVD-R or DVD R discs ?

This model can not record. So you need to use a finalized disc - the listed spec is DVD-V (Region 1 or All). It also can't read DVD-ROM or DVD-RAM (trying this format can damage the unit).

If you have a DVD recorded on another machine and it isn't readable, check if the disc was finalized. Sometimes the brand of disc matters for playback of DVD-R or DVD+R discs. I've never found a rhyme or reason for some of these issues with one disc versus another.

I wish that I could be of more help.

Check the partition size in Disk Management (if running Win7 - download a free Partition Manager if not) and see if the system is seeing the partition correctly. Seagate has recovery software available on their website but you may just have to repartition and reformat.

try this Step 1: Start Registry Editor loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK. Registry Editor starts. Step 2: Delete the Upper/lower Filters registry entry loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); 1. In Registry Editor, expand My Computer, and then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 2. Expand SYSTEM, and then expand CurrentControlSet. 3. Expand Control, and then expand Class. 4. Under Class, click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. 5.
