HI
the base to emitter of the hot will read short on a diode checker/test on ohms it vairies but typically about 50 ohms.e to c, or b to c should have very high resistance. unsolder the collector of the hot. make sure all solder is gone. now test the ohm between your tuner ground & the pad of the hot collector it should read open.

Horizontal output transistor usually has a damper diode across C and E and a bias resistor included between E and B. these internal components alter one's expected ohmmeter test of H transistor; here's how. the base to collector junction will test as a diode, but E to B will show a low resistance, approx. 50 ohms in both directions. now the E to C ohmmeter test will test as a diode. the foregoing results indicate a good transistor. readings other than these indicate a bad H output transistor.

it might be a bad flyback. but also something in the drive circuit could
have made it run hot and killed it. i would replace it and if it does
fire up then the drive circuit is the problem. if it blows the output
or just hums for a sec i would go for the flyback

check if Horizontal Output goes hot. If
so, check for a ceramic capacitor located near HOT, I think it is .0022 1.5 kv.
Resistor R-3242 or RX3242 1 ohm or 2.2 ohm opens
    up near lot. IC LA7837/8.

With the set turned off use the remote to enter
Display, 5, volume up, power. Then be CAREFULL.

Face the rear of the set and describe the layout
of the circuit board/boards. One large board/two boards/three boards, location of
the high voltage transformer/ right/left/center etc. Are boards horz or
vertical? Look for dates on the components/picture tube/inside the cabinet.
Sometimes there is a sticker inside the cabinet, giving the circuit board pt
numbers. With this description, someone will recognize the set and be able to help.

SOUNDS LIKE ONE PROBLEM CAUSING 2.BRAKE FEEL MUSHY? FROZEN CALIPERS HOLDING BACK TRANS-RACING MOTOR CAUSING OVERHEATING BATTERY? OR.... BAD TRANS CAUSES RACING MOTOR TO OVERHEAT BATTERY.? SOUNDS LIKE 1-(CAUSE) SLIPPING TRANS , RACING ENGINE,,BATT OVERHEATS ETC........DEPENDS ON WHICH STARTS FIRST-TRANS ISSUE, 2 ENGINE RACING, 3 HOT BATTERY? THAT EQUALS A PUZZLE READY TO BE SOLVED. IF YOUR BRAKE SYSTEM WHERE IN GOOD SHAPE (EMERG BK TOO) I WOULD LEAN TOWARD THE TRANS FROM HERE. E250 transmission just had my tran rebilt when it gets hot it is slow off the line they say it's not the tran but it work great be for they changed it what do you think

It could be a bad tourqe converter. If it wasn't drained it still has metal shavings and old fluid in it. I would recomend draining it and replacing the fluid/filter.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SKIPS ALSO FLUID GETS HOT AND I LOOSE 3rd&o-d

sorry but your trans has went out. 3rd and over drive are on same shaft with different control solenoids once fluid gets hot not enough pressure for gears to engage internal wear and tear of system . have trans rebuilt or rebuilt unit installed or good used trans. jaspers used trans are warranted you can find them on line.

Im working on a RCA ITC222-it has 3 chirp problem with burnt CL031. Unfortunately RL106 is burnt (I need value)and, FL100 is open (I need current rating)and finally, DL032 and DL033 are shorted (I need...

Cl031 is the sfaety retrace capacitor check DL030 an the HOT trans they are most likley blown as well. Usually if anything other than the Hot and DL030 are blown the entire deflection board will need replacement. Its also best to check all three of the CRT necks to be sure none are cracked and broken on the CRT necks . Unfortunately several designs of the deflection components had different parts although the deflection boards will usually interchnage bewteen the ITC222 chassis sets. The ITC222A will not interchange. www.tvrepairworld.com has replacement parts and boards and can also assist with part numbers that you require.

My car will not reverse but it will go forward

Sounds like a typical reverse band problem...cover the easy things first however... is the fluid full??? check it engine hot in park....is the fluid burnt??? bad smell not red like out of the can... if its low or if its burnt make sure you purchase the proper fluid for your particular vehicle some trans fliuds dont mix...a trans service may fix it as the trans has a filter that (may) be clogged but usually this causes a non shift in drive as well as reverse...if all else fails sounds like a trans repair/replacement is in the horizons.Cost factors: Trans fluids $3.00 qt.: trans service $30.00-$100.00: Trans repair/replacement $600.00-$1500.00.

2004 dodge ram is over heating, the thermostat and fan clutch have been replaced.Doesn't(over heat) in cool weather, but will in mod. weather if driven over 70mph or hilly terrain due or increase of rpm,and...

Water pumps can stall out, but do you have air trapped in system.
Had you recently had the system "open" to replace hose, thermostat, temp sensor. Some Ford and GM have a bleeder screw on a high point in cooling system to bleed out trapped air.

Check your trans fluid color. Since the trans cooler is built into radiator (automatics)

IF the engine is overheating the trans CAN overheat
IF the trans is overheating the engine CAN overheat

They share the same cooling source and trans fluid gets hotter than oil, but yet it has a wimpy cooler built into radiator. Maybe add trans oil cooler to system.

Also outside temp affects the cool down rate of the radiator, ie...hot air trying to cool down hot radiator/engine is less effecting than cool air cooling hot radiator/engine
