I have Whirlpool gold GH5184XPS its not heating. how to troubleshooting the problem?

There will be a technical sheet hidden behind the controller assembly or elsewhere.

There is a YouTube video here which shows you how to remove the controller assembly in about 5 minutes.

You can also find it online here.

It may be a bad door switch, controller problem, inverter problem, or defective high voltage part.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Locating reset button on my microwave

To my knowledge none have a reset button or circuit breaker. If the unit is total dead there will be (has to be) a fuse inside the unit.

My Whirlpool GH5184XPS-4 lost power. House circuits are good. Receptacle is good. i found the fuse and not sure. How do I find the 2 other fuses (TCO I believe)?

This overdesigned monster has a 20A fuse, two 4A fuses, and two or three oven cavity thermostats, any of which can render the oven dead.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven (GH5184XPS4 without dashes) here.

Accessing some components (particularly the oven cavity thermostats) for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Whirlpool owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

Whirlpool gh5184xps over-the-counter microwave no power

There is a high voltage fuse in the unit attatched to the high voltage capacitor, it is the most common problem for microwaves not working. Also check the protective diode, the high voltage capacitor as well as the transformer if the fuse is ok. Good Luck.

1. Check the door, hinge and cavity front alignment. Adjust as needed.
2. Check the operation of all interlock switches.
3. To check the over-temperature protection for the magnetron, unplug
microwave oven or disconnect power.
4. After 40 seconds, check to see whether this solves the problem.
5. If this solves the problem, check the cooling fan for proper operation or
blockage.
6. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
7. Check resistance of the magnetron thermostat. It should be close to
0 ohms. If necessary, replace magnetron thermostat.
8. Check that the control cable to the 1100 watt inverter is correctly connected
