TI-503SV battery replacement

No longer turns on. don't know how to replace battery

  • Anonymous Mar 27, 2019

Replace the battery. The TI-503SV comes with a GP189 button battery. This can be replaced with a 389 button battery. Unscrew the tiny screw on the back. I recommend making a tape loop with the sticky side out Put the screw on that to reduce the chance of losing it. CAREFULLY pry the colored front from the back using a small slot screwdriver. The front is held on by tabs and you don't want to break them. Once the front is separated, you can easily slip the battery out of it's holder using a toothpick and slip the new one in. Snap the parts back together and put the screw back. And Bob's your uncle.

SOURCE: TI-84 Plus Silver Edition turns off immediately, all batteries have been replaced, but unit still turns off. I even replaced the memory battery.

You may need to reset calculator. Take ou the batteries and the backup battery. Leave them out for about 8 hours. Then put everything back in. Hopefully this will work.

SOURCE: TI 89 won't turn on

Try a hard reset if you're willing to sacrifice the contents of all RAM.

1. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly.
2. Press and hold the 2nd, Left, and Right keys.
3. Press and release the On key.

SOURCE: ti-89 won't turn on

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on at all. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

You don't. The 30X IIs runs on both solar power and a 2025 lithium battery. If you need to replace the 2025 battery, see this.

Is there a battery replacement for my L4 that will give me a longer running time?

There isn't room onboad for bigger batteries. But you can cheat by constructing a two wheeled trailer just big enough to hold two more batteries they can be as big as you want. When the on-board batteries get low flip a switch and your running on out-board batteries. Be sure the trailor is conntructed to be as lite weight as possible. you can buy trailers for scooter. I did it the lazy way, I wired my external batteries directly to my internal battery terminals due to amp loading. If they are lets say 50amp to your 15amp on- board batteries you are going to go way more miles than with15amp batteries. WARNING this setup you don't hook fully charged big batteries into discharged small. batteries. I don't let my on-board batteries get to discharged. I've spliced into the main battery terminal lines..so that they are thick enough to handle the amp load which are 12 gage. I also have a 50 amp connector between the external scooter and the trailer for quick disconnect

Reset the calculator by taking out all of the batteries, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Replace the batteries and see if it works again. If not, remove all of the batteries again, this time include the backup battery (you'll need a small phillips screwdriver). Wait 5 minutes and reinstall the batteries. Hope it works for you. g.

Hi, I would replace the battery. It has what you call internal discharge. That means it will no longer hold a charge. Also have the alternator checked that is charging properly. That should do it. Good luck.

Screen has become so dim on TI 8660 I can no longer read the sreen

Hi there,
Please try adjusting the contrast and see if that will work.
If it doesn't try to replace the battery and see if it's just a symptom for a low power.
Otherwise the screen for you TI 866 would have to be replaced and sadly there is no replacement part available for that so a new one would be the best choice.
Hope this helps!
