The drive is probably infected with some kind of viruses which are capable of creating bad sectors. What I would suggest is to run a virus scan on the drive and see if it finds anything. Then run check disk or anyother diagnostic tool of your choice. Norton disk doctor(if you have it) is very good at this job. If it still doesn't work then I would assume that it is some kind of conflict in the USB controllers and will guide you through the troubleshooting that.

Regards,
Sai.

Files on a flash drive canbe corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon andthen click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flashdrive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive to working order you need to format the flash drive,BUT you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

I have kingston 2gb usb, it has a problem that when i plug in to any computer it recommends to format but the error comes out that "windows was unable to complete format"

This usually means that you need to get a new flash drive. Flash drives are pretty cheap nowadays; if you aren't try to get anything really big. You can usually pick up a 4GB for $10 - $15. I would just trash the 2GB before it shorts out while in your USB port and then burns something out.

My 2gb kingston usb flash drive cannot open / read to any compute

There are several USB recovery programs available. While I don't endorse any one in particular, I tend to stay away from "free" ones, since I believe in the axiom "there's no such thing as a free lunch" since you don't know what's in it for them.

You could try this company, which advertises a free download (but I suspect they are really a shareware company so it's possible that they will want money for a more expansive version) which may make it possible to fix your drive in one instance at least.

If this data is important to you, it's probably worth spending 30 or 40 dollars to avoid a repeat.in the future, because USB drives get corrupted from time to time.
