Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Songs keep disapearing or not showing up

I just bought the thing a few weeks ago. I finally got all my songs found and added to the Windows media player and downloaded them to the sansa e260. I go back and edit the names on the songs quite a bit. But the thing wont show the corrections when I go to put them on the sansa. Other computers at my school show the songs as on my mp3, but when I disconnect to listen to them they're not there. The computer's show the files as hidden often too, I thought that may of been the problem so I unhide them using the computers aplication, with no result to the player showing up. I'm wondering why the files are always showing up as hidden and not showing up at all when I use my player. I don't want to format the whole mp3 if i don't have to some songs show up on the player's screen, but not all the ones the computers show. Why why?

Check the ID3 tag options to see if you have selected "show as hidden" as a default

I keep trying to add songs to my PEARL and after i have added them, the mp3 player says there are no files. However, when I connect it to my computer, the music is there and I can click it and it will play...

in my opinion it is enough to format your player memory. Connect it to the PC and make back up your media files. Format the drive of the player. After this all the media files will be disapeared from the player. Then copy back the media files backed up frpm the PC.
I hope in this way your songs will come back again.

I should've bought an iPod, too. Try resetting it using the Device Manager (after backing up all of the songs), then put the songs back on.

Archos 605 won't play music

Try adding some songs using Windows Media Player. Then on the home screen go to menu-system-system repair tools and reset the temporary settings ( the 1st option on top). Warning:If you have rated your songs the ratings will disapear.

Sansa e280- files added via WMP10 or Windows explorer, but don't show up on player

No limit on the Genres.

If you keep adding music in different modes, Windows Media Player and Windows Explorer will not show the correct free space.

Theres a good chance you have too music music on your device and the device does not have enough free space to create the Database, or the songs, artists, album, etc.

Try deleting a few songs from the device with Windows Explorer and disconnect the player and let it restart.

If that doesnt work, you can FORMAT the device to remove all of the music and start over.

To format in My Computer>Device name (e280)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

Best of Luck.

Charging problem....

You might have a "bad" song? Try wipping the songs off and resyncing youre player. Also, for the charging problem. Are you charging it through your computer? I've found that these players charge ALOT better through an AC outlet. I hope this helps.

Removing bad tracks

I beleive your player saves a lists as well as the song itself. the easiest way to fix it is to (if possible) use windows explorer, goto your player and look for a folder that says "albums" or "list", scroll thru and delete the folder of the songs that you have deleted.

Wont let me put songs onto it

umm..i have a suggestion... maybe there was a program in the player that wasnt meant to be deleted and WAS deleted by accident - maybe u should check if there is anything missing in your player other than the music that was lost. Im not sure this'll work but its just a check to make sure thing! bye

Make sure the songs are in the right format. Napster is a real bear about disappearing songs - try another music svc.
