Question about iLO MP3 Player

Music videos wont play

I have had my Player for about 2 weeks now. My music went on the player fine. I have pictures on it, but when I add music videos they will not play. the player tells me that the there are no files. When I plug the player back to the computer, I can watch all the videos that I put on the player. I have converted all the videos and copied and pasted just like the instructions say, but still when I unplug the player from the computer I get nothing. The player even says that the video files are on the player. They just wont play. HELP?!

Most music videos have a copyright protection system on them which will not allow them to be played on your mp3 player, even though they will play fine on your computer. You would have to get a media converter that can bypass or strip the copy protection that will also convert these files to AVI first (by the way, this type of software is illegal). YouTube-type videos are best. You may need a legal FLV to AVI converter (like Riva FLV Encoder) to convert the videos first.

1 Select Start > All Programs > Windows Media Player to launch Windows Media
Player program.
2 Click the down arrow beneath the Library tab and select Add to Library ...
3 Click <<Advanced Options to expand the dialog box.

5 Select a folder in which you have kept your music or picture files and click OK.
6 Return to Add to library dialog box and click OK.
> Windows Media Player will start scanning the folder and add available music or picture files
to the library.

Can't add or delete music

Make sure the lock is not engaged. If it is not, then you have a Corrupt DB - double check RCA's website to make sure you have the latest firmware.

When you try to play it the screen should say locked. Push the bottom button that says hold and the screen should say unlocked. Hope that helps. I just bought the same MP3 player and am liking it so far.

E280r MP3 player wont sync songs!

If your device is getting too close to its capacity, it will effect the menu on the device. You need at least 6-10MB of free space for the "music database". If thats not it, one or more of your files may be corrupt. To resolve this, you should format the device to delete all the music, then transfer it back to the player. To format, right click on the device under My Computer and select format. Please add to the question if that didnt work. Best of Luck.
