Warm with no program material running?
or
Warm with normal sound levels?

I have amps that generate some heat when they are on and OK.

Check your manual too.

All Chips generate heat when running, so the thing to do is decide if you're just feeling normal heat. If you can't leave your finger on the problem chip for several seconds - its bad.
